Beautiful Tented Cabin in Texas for Glamping by Guadalupe River

Spend your next vacation in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! Our glamping resort offers access to all the area’s best amenities - take a dip in our resort pool, kayak or paddleboard on the lake, wade along the Guadalupe Riverbank and soak up some tranquility, or relax beneath the stars from the comfort of your own hot tub in your private yard. All this and more awaits you out here!



Lizzie Joy glamping tent has an efficiency-style setup and includes A/C and heat. In the front of the tent, you will find a living room with a queen sofa bed, seating for four and a smart TV. Behind the living area, there is a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress. Behind the bedroom section, is a large, fully enclosed bathroom with double sinks and a bath/shower combination. Adjacent to the bathroom is a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, sink and Keurig coffee maker (no stove/oven). From the deck, you can enjoy gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding hills. Step down to the attached private yard, where you'll find a fire pit, gas grill and hot tub. Bringing your dog? This is the perfect hangout spot for the pups! You can bring a pole and some bait and explore 3 other ponds along our hiking trail. We also provide kayaks and paddleboards for your use at the lake.



We have 4 other cabins on the property and 4 additional glamping tents...bring your friends and family!



Important things to note:



The grill and fire pit are both propane, so there is no need to bring firewood or charcoal.



When the pool is heated (Spring Break and late Fall), it will be heated to 78-80.



Please keep in mind that while this is a fancy tent with air conditioning, it is still a tent. During the warmer months, the tent will get warmer during the day (usually cools anywhere from 10-15 degrees below the outside temperature depending on how hot it is) and gets really cool at night with the a/c. In colder weather, the heating unit works well to keep the tent warm and we also provide extra heaters. There are large stone steps that you will need to climb to get to the front door.



To keep the setting as natural as possible, there is a bit of a walk to Lizzie Joy...approximately 75 yards via sidewalk.



We provide starter sets of coffee, creamer and sweetener. If you are a heavy coffee drinker, please feel free to bring more. We provide salt, pepper, olive oil and a few other basic spices for cooking.



PET POLICY: We welcome dogs (max 2) for a $50 pet fee. We love dogs (we have 2 of our own) and we are super happy to be able to provide a pet friendly glamping resort. In order to keep the property dog-friendly, we kindly ask that you:

- Do not bring your dog if they are barkers. To be respectful of other guests, we cannot allow dogs on the property that bark constantly and if this happens, you could be asked to leave. If you are unsure if your dog is a heavy barker, check with your neighbors ;)

- Clean up after your dog, both inside and outside (we provide dog waste bags at the tent).

- Do not allow your dog on the furniture; this means both the couch and the bed.

- Dogs may not be left unattended inside the tent unless you bring a crate and they will not bark in your absence.

- Dogs that bark when left alone may not be left in the yard unattended.

- Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. There are no exceptions to this rule, as this is associated with Texas law.

- There will be a $250 fee assessed if evidence is found that an undisclosed pet was brought onto the property.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help us keep the resort pet friendly for future guests!!! We do not allow cats on the property.



Smoking of any kind is not permitted on the property.



Parking and all resort amenities are for registered guests only.



A rental agreement and damage deposit are required prior to arrival. A $300 credit hold will be placed on guest's credit card two days prior to reservation date and released once the property has been assessed for damages.

Lake, ponds and river access, hot tub, and gas grill

This property from the day we first saw it captured our hearts. It's truly a gem in the Texas Hill Country and we are so glad we purchased it. We look forward to our guests enjoying it for years to come.

The property is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on Bumble Bee creek and Bumble Bee Lake, 1/4 mile from the majestic Guadalupe River and 1.5 miles east of the center of Hunt, TX just off of Hwy 39. The property boasts 30+ 100yr old majestic oaks that are literally in your backyard! This area of Texas is a nature lover's paradise. Bring a book, bring some wine and prepare to unwind.

Enjoy the lake for kayaking and fishing with lots of bass and perch. We also have 3 additional ponds on the property. Take a walk down to the Guadalupe River and enjoy one of the most scenic rivers in the state of Texas just miles away from it's headwaters. Kerr Wildlife Management is just a few miles from the property where you can continue to explore and see some of our local wildlife. Check out Bridget's Basket, less than 2 miles from the property. They have a beautiful vineyard, farm, shop, and restaurant. Several summer camps are just a few minutes from the property so you can drop the kids and come see us!
