In this village on the banks of the Loire, between Angers and Nantes, you will be charmed by this old house with three levels, built with quality materials (terracotta tiles, antique parquet flooring, tufa stone characteristic of the Loire region, etc.) and its 60 m² south-facing terrace overlooking the Loire.
On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a television, a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, induction cooktop, etc.) with direct access to the terrace. To warm up in winter after long walks, you can use the wood-burning stove (wood not provided), and to cool down in summer, you can use the fans.
On each floor, you will find two bedrooms sharing a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet: one has two single beds (90 cm) and the other has a double bed (160 x 200 cm). The bathrooms are en-suite to one of the bedrooms and do not have separate access. A separate toilet is located on the ground floor.
Outside, you can enjoy a lovely terrace with garden furniture, deck chairs, and a parasol—the perfect place to relax and admire the Loire River, which changes with the hours and seasons. For your comfort and to lighten your luggage, the beds are made upon your arrival, and towels are provided. The owners, passionate about history and antiques, will be happy to share the history of this village with you.
The cottage does not have private parking, but you can park in the surrounding streets or in the free public car park 50 meters away.
A historic border between Anjou and Brittany and a former trading port, the village offers numerous amenities (creperie, pizzeria, bar and restaurants, etc.) and entertainment during the season, as well as a beach on the other side of the Loire in the summer. You can also enjoy walking or cycling along the Loire à Vélo route and discover the surrounding villages (Saint Florent le Vieil and its abbey church, Chalonnes-sur-Loire and its market, Île Béhuard, etc.) or fish along the banks of the Loire. Fancy a city break? Angers and its gentle charm are 30 minutes away (20 minutes by train), and if you prefer Nantes, with its famous Machines de l'Île, you can reach it in 50 minutes by car or 30 minutes by train, the station being a 10-minute walk away. Other nearby activities include the Loire Valley wine route, the Château de Serrant in Saint-Georges-sur-Loire, Loire River cruises, and canoe rentals. The Terra Botanica botanical garden is 30 minutes away, and Puy du Fou is an hour away.
