El presbiterio de San Columb y la casa del entrenador fueron construidos para el párroco de Inistioge en la década de 1870. La casa del entrenador se encuentra en los terrenos de los propietarios de aproximadamente 3 acres. Los terrenos paisajísticos comprenden un jardín acuático, césped y una glorieta rústica ubicada en una posición elevada con vistas al río Nore. La propiedad se encuentra a unos 1/2 km del pueblo de Inistioge, a poca distancia a pie.
The Coach House consta de una cocina combinada / comedor / sala de estar con estufa de leña y 2 dormitorios. El dormitorio de la planta baja consta de 1 cama doble con cuarto de baño. El dormitorio del primer piso tiene 1 cama individual y 1 cama doble y un cuarto de baño con WC adyacente. Hay calefacción central de gasoil con radiadores en toda la propiedad. Amazing home that, as said before in other reviews, is even better in person. LOVED the renovated stone barn, LOVED our hosts, LOVED the heated beds, LOVED the tub, LOVED the resident kitty that came to visit. Be aware, that you will be cozy if you know how to build and maintain a wood stove. Otherwise, this may not be the fall/winter destination for you. Not immediately close to many amenities (food/shopping) but not far either. (by U.S. standards)

Wonderful Cottage!! The pictures do not do the cottage justice. It is a beautiful cozy place. We stayed 3 nights and fell in love with the place. If I am back in the area I will definitely book this house again. There is a convenient EveryDay store that is a quick drive, or walk to town that carries all the basic stables you will need for a few nights. The Woodstock Arms pub is a must stop in town for a pint. Over all had a great stay.

Pictures do not do the coach house justice. This place is AMAZING!!! It is so magical! Loved the stone walls, the fireplace, everything about it!! Check-in was super easy. The house had everything we needed. Dishes and pots and pans were all great. We had a minor problem and Margaret was quick with her response and solved our user error problem. We visited the Woodstock gardens, jerpoint Abbey, kells priory, and jerpoint glass blowing studio. We would highly recommend all of them! The coach house was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again!!

Spectacular service, fabulous facility

We stayed for 29 days. The hosts treated us like family! We needed converters for our C-Pap machines, cell phones and iPads. Immediately, Mark got us what we needed. We left for several days each week. Mark and Margaret turned the heat off to save energy consumption. The cottage was very comfortable. It was located for us to easily travel around the Republic. Mark and Margaret Dunne were wonderful hosts. We shared meals together and swapped stories of life in the US and Ireland.

The most charming cozy cottage!

The coach house is the coziest cottage with a gorgeous view of their forested property, especially from the lens of their “greenhouse foyer”. Walking distance the most beautiful little village of Inistioge where everyone was so hospitable and the views were breathtaking. The owners are entirely the most lovely people to chat with ever, and the Epitome of hospitality and kindness. I would absolutely book another stay with them, but for much longer next time.

Great stay

Home Away From Home

Mark and Margaret’s coach house was ideal for us. We instantly fell in love with all of its charms. It’s located perfectly to create a home base and welcomed us comfortably after long days of exploring. Inistioge is a gorgeous location. Beautifully restored coach house in great location

Friendly knowledgeable hosts, excellent house in a quiet village near the great historic sites and hikes of the area. If you are looking for a place in the Irish countryside to unwind that’s still close to everything, this home in Inistioge is a great choice.

Ein wunderschöner Platz zum Wohlfühlen

Liebe Margaret, durch die sehr genaue Anfahrtsbeschreibung war die Anreise einfach. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, den offenen Kamin mit Holzfeuerung haben wir sehr genossen. Gute Lage für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, kurze Entfernung zu sehr gutem Pub, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Bridget hat uns gut betreut. Danke, Rolf, Renate und Andreas

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very good location for exploring, by car of course. Very comfortable! The small town of Inistioge has a beautiful park by the river with a 10 arch 12th century bridge.

Lovely place

As described.. Hosts were very welcoming and seemed like great people. Beautiful spot. Beds were VERY uncomfortable…mattresses need an upgrade! Our mistake: we didn’t realize one has to drive to Thomaston for any food, pubs etc.. 15 minutes.. small country road with scary fast cars and trucks. Stressful driving. No dining in Inistioge. Did not go anywhere in the evening as a result. The property is lovely.. minus very sore backs in the morning!!

Wonderful experience

Coach House

Rustic, beautiful, property with amazing hosts. Lovely old old coach house been remodeled into two bedroom two bathroom home with all amenities included. Close to all kinds of little town towns and close to bigger towns a short distance away. One of our best vacations yet.

Comfort and history

Margaret and Mark were so welcoming and we had a couple of lovely chats about the history of the Coach House and the restoration efforts. They were helpful with recommending sites to visit and things to do. The accommodations were so comfortable and very well-appointed. Just such a great place to relax and recharge. We'd definitely stay there again!

A wonderful place!

We were greeted by our hosts as if we were old friends. Mark and Margaret made themselves available whenever we needed them but respected our privacy, and made us feel very welcome. The stone cottage is well furnished, cozy, and extremely comfortable. The nearby area is very centrally located, and there are great attractions in the vicinity, such as the Woodstock Gardens, Jerpoint Abbey, and Kells Priory. Although we made this our base for ten days, we still wish we could have had more time to explore. We would definitely return again!
