“A wonderful hidden location above Oban but really an easy walk down a steep road off Pulpit Hill to the back of the CalMac ferry dock. Just pay attention to passing cars.”

“A perfectly pleasant stay. However it lacks the human touch. Everything is automated and seems organised to minimise interaction between host and guest. Breakfast - all three courses at the same time left at your door - eating cereal first meant cold bacon sandwich and cold toast. Run for the proprietor not the guest. ”

“Some resident/or residents used the toaster just after 7am Saturday morning so this was a bit distressing rushing downstairs then back upstairs to help a family member downstairs ( mobility issues) Other than the above room was clean reception lady was lovely cleaners were friendly. Thank you but perhaps a talk to residents about safety while using facilities ”

“The frontage of this stunning hotel hides the incredible style & comfort inside. It’s absolute brilliant. Gorgeous crisp white high quality bed linen, excellent bathroom /shower/ fluffy white towels, very comfy bed. Every single fixture & fitting is the highest standard. “Lovely place to stay, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Oban. No traffic noise and a comfy bed means a good night's sleep. Friendly welcome and departure. No dining, but only two mins walk to local cafe/bar for an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended. ”

“We enjoyed how warm the room stayed, considering it was chilly and windy outside. The room also had a sink in it which was very convenient. The staff was short and rude with us and unaccommodating, which is our only complaint of the facility. It is a very bare bones place so if you are simply looking for a place to rest your head at the end of the day, this is a good choice.”

“The cottage is in such a beautiful setting, there’s a bluebell meadow right outside the back door. There’s also a great dog field just a few minutes walk from the door. Very handy to give the dog a run around after a long drive! The cottage is very clean and tidy inside and very cosy. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the log burner as the weather was too nice - not something to complain about though I suppose! We will definitely look to come back in the near future. ”
