“Staff at check in seemed bothered that we were there. Hotel is in need of repair and updates. Our room had unpainted patches on the wall, a tub that wouldn’t drain and a chair that has the leather peeling off of it. There were signs on the walls that were printed on paper and held up with painters tape. Pool closes at 8pm, and no hot tub. On site restaurant was a nice amenity, food was outstanding! “No on-site staff. Cellphone reception is quite poor, so it was difficult to communicate. Located right on the harbour including smells/noises that come with it. Towels were damp and smelt mildewy.”

“On site launderette was a big plus. Room was very nice and spacious, with 2 big comfortable beds. Only downside was that TV didn't work and the water could have been a bit hotter in the morning.”

“The view at this lodge was breathtaking! It’s a little outdated in terms of decor but everything was clean, well maintained, water pressure was strong and the staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and McCurdy’s onsite restaurant service. We would come back again.”

“The owners are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are perfect, showing a tremendous attention to detail. Breakfast was the best on this trip, and the owner showed us pictures of the island and told us about its history as we ate. After that, he picked up his fiddle and provided us with a mini concert. 10 stars is my evaluation!!”
