The Cub House is a beautifully designed repurposed barn/cabin in a quiet neighborhood that provided us (a retired couple from NH) with five star accommodations during our exploration of Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding area in late May 2023. It is conveniently located in Island Park, ID just 75 minutes Northeast of Idaho Falls, ID via Route 20 and 30 minutes South of the West Yellowstone, MT entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We were the first guests to stay at the Cub House following recent enhancements to the property. The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances, granite countertops, dining area, remote work space, living room with gas stove/heater, master bedroom with a gas wall fireplace and en suite bathroom, an additional half-bath, and a full size washer/dryer. The second floor has two bedrooms (total three beds) and a bathroom with shower. An outdoor gas grill, fire pit, fiberoptic cable internet and wide screen televisions are also provided. A small grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants, the Flat Ranch Nature Preserve, Henry’s Lake, the Island Park Reservoir, Harriman State Park and hiking trails are all within walking distance or short drives from the Cub House.
