  • Experience wine country the way it used to be: quaint, beautiful, and charming. Come stay in our Amador Farmhouse built in the late 1800’s located on the beautiful Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail. Be a part of history with the first home in the Shenandoah Valley to receive electricity and running water. The Amador Farmhouse offers three updated remodeled bedrooms each with their own private bathrooms and showers. Relax, enjoy and wash the city away in our lovely vintage claw tubs. Slip into the covers of your luxurious King and queen size beds with fine linens and drift away into a peaceful country sleep…Sweet Dreams. Need a place to put the kids or that favorite Uncle? Enjoy a cozy pull out couch next to the fire place and a flat screen TV in the living room. This farmhouse might be old in spirit but it’s young at heart with all of the modern updates and conveniences of home, yet charm of an old country farmhouse. Enjoy the stunning sunsets and beautiful views of the local vineyards on our wrap around deck. Life is better on the farm.

I was immediately impressed with the detail and love that was obviously poured into this property.I was able to cook a lovely turkey dinner and had all that I needed for my meat and sides.Plenty of cookware, spices and dishes to complete a meal.The hostess was kind and accommodating.Cheryl was prompt in returning texts in response to my questions.We have stayed in lots of VRBO homes. This rated as number one on our list.

The six of us have come here for three consecutive years now because this place has it all. Clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient access to dozens of wineries set up for tasting. Plus our host is readily accessible and responsive. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Stay

This is a stunning property that was very relaxing! Perfectly met our needs to be close to wineries but still able to have an intimate space. The farmhouse was very clean, orderly, and had a full complement of kitchenware. We were very happy staying there and hope to go back!

Beautiful historic farmhouse

Modernized historic farmhouse in a beautiful location! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing around the gas fireplace on the wrap around patio at the end of the day. The host was very responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The kitchen was well stocked with items you would not normally find in a rental. It really felt like a comfortable home. The peaceful location in the heart of the foothill wine country is another bonus. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay in Amador County

We loved the Farm House and can’t wait to come back! Spacious, clean and charming. We loved reading about the history of the home. The back and front decks were favorite spots for our group to have coffee and wine and relax. Plenty of great wineries nearby to visit. 10/10 would recommend.

Wine tasting in Plymouth with friends

Beautiful property in the middle of multiple wineries in the Shenandoah Valley. Property and accommodations far exceeded expectations! Multiple amenities including all come cooking tools for meals, games for entertainment for both inside and outside as well as a complimentary bottle of wine and cookies. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Wonderful Spot

Love this little slice of paradise. Had friends from Tulsa, Oklahoma visiting Amador county and had so much fun. Wineries all around us. can’t wait to do it again.

Gorgeous Farmhouse

We came up for my daughters wedding and the farmhouse was perfect. Accommodations were amazing and Cheryl was the perfect host. I would highly recommend the farmhouse!!

Extremely nice house. Great location with easy access to all the Shenandoah valley wine country. The hosts did everything to make our stay wonderful. Lots of small touches that made the experience really special. Highest recommendation!!

Adorable Farmhouse!

We were in town for our daughter’s wedding and this was one of the high points! The house is adorable and every detail was considered. Beautiful property and a wrap around deck to relax on. Right in the heart of wine country so we didn’t have to travel far to each winery. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Farmhouse 2023

We enjoyed our weekend in wine country while celebrating my niece’s wedding at Helwig winery. Farmhouse was clean and comfortable, the owners were very attentive. We would love to come back again soon!!

Perfect Amador Farmhouse

This house is the cutest and the location is perfect! We were very comfortable and enjoyed all of it's charm and amenities. The owners were also super attentive and a pleasure to communicate with. We would love to stay here again sometime! It was hard to come home and not see a vineyard out iof the bedroom window!! Thank you so much for everything Cheryl!

Incredible Home, Incredible Stay

The Farmhouse lives up to its expectations and then some. It can often times be difficult to understand a home listing through the photographs as they are staged in a way to omit or highlight other aspects of the home. This listing hides nothing and you get everything you see. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and dedicated time to detail to the comfort of the guests. This home is a gem and i would not hesitate a second to recommend or even look to stay with my family again.

Perfect stay

This is our 2nd stay with these friends in the farmhouse. We’ve been to Amador many times but the last two years we’ve stayed in this perfect little home. It has everything you need to cook great meals, spend time with amazing friends and it is within close proximity to some of the best wineries in the world. I couldn’t ask for anything more. The beds are comfortable. The house is cozy and it’s just all around the best experience ever. The owners are always available and sponsor highly recommend.
