This is our 2nd time staying at The cozy cabin nature retreat and dog heaven. We love love love it there. My husband's favorite part is the exploring, being in nature, comfy bed and how much our dog loves it there. My top of the list is the outdoor shower and the wood stove. BEST shower i have ever had!!! I dream about it all year long. Lol My little dog loves it there so much that when i was trying to get him in the truck and he ran back to the cabin door. He loves the freedom and the costco sized dog bed. The owners have really thought of EVERYTHING! Seriously just bring clothes, food and firewood. The linens and pillows are clean and sufficient. Everything is well thought out and a lot of fun. Very kid friendly but please watch them as you are in nature. I can't wait to go back for our next anniversary/birthday.

Cabin getaway

We had a great stay at the cozy cabin! Perfectly situated in nature, yet close enough to society, this was the perfect weekend retreat to get away from the every day hustle.

Nature glamping get away

Stayed 3 nights and could have easily stayed longer. So many fun activities around the property. We loved every minute of getting away from the everyday city life. My boys (8 & 10) and dog were in heaven. It's a fully stocked place and we actually packed too much. Just FYI we have Xfinity for Internet and cell and we didn't have service for either untill about 20 min down the hill. Highly recommend doing the guided Cavern Tour and going to the river access off Electra Rd (search Vaughts Beach). The grocery store Senders in Mountain Ranch has everything you may need (about 13 min away). We plan to return for sure! Thanks again Steven and Michelle. ll

Perfect glamping getaway

This cabin made for a perfect getaway. It was clean with all the amenities one would need. Michelle and Steve thought of everything. We enjoyed doing a movie night with the projector. The bathrooms were neat and clean. There were lots of games and things to keep my 12 year son outside and busy. The outdoor shower was wonderful and water was hot. Would recommend . 10/10. Would love to go again in the fall.

Little Getaway

Another relaxing stay

It’s our 4th time coming back. We all enjoyed our stay just as much as the first time. Clean, quiet, cabin stocked with basic. Steven is really good at communicating. Thank you for sharing The Cabin with us.

Quiet Getaway

A great property and perfect base camp for exploring Gold Country. Like having a campground to yourself with the added plus of all of the comforts of home. Was a great solo (+dog) getaway and would be great for family trips and get togethers. Thanks for sharing your special place!

Cute and Cozy Cabin

Perfect for a weekend getaway in the beautiful redwoods. Secluded but plenty of activities at the property. Outdoor shower and restroom are actually very nice. Many more kitchen ammenities than expected and very dog friendly.

Wonderful Get-away

Steven's place was a wonderful, peaceful get away. The property is just beautiful and our dogs loved all the space. Steven was very responsive with questions and accommodating for us! Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful place to vacation!

This place really exceeded our expectations. The property and the cabin are amazing! You really don't have to bring anything except food and clothes. It is so peaceful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very clean. The owners thought of everything down to the smallest details. The shower is amazing! The bed is so comfortable. The zip line is awesome. But definitely start at halfway to get a feel for it. Hang on tight! It was so fun! My dog had a blast as well. He loved the dog bed that was provided and all the freedom. The owners are very easy to communicate with. Seem like really down to earth people. Looking forward to going back. It was a wonderful vacation!

Magic

Every detail was thought out beautifully! My boys had such an amazing time exploring the property, swinging and zip lining every hour of the day! I really didn't need to bring anything- everything was provided! My boys felt like they got their camping trip but without all the work of actually camping. Our boys have already made us promise to book again asap! Thank you so much for such a great time!

Relaxing Place

This is my family's second time coming here and we still love it just as much. The place is wonderful. My dogs enjoyed their stay as well they felt at home. We spent our time painting rocks and making a sign for the garden. we went to celebrate father's day along with my wife's birthday and we had a great time doing so. Thank you for allowing us to stay here and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you Steven and Michelle.

Great Retreat

It’s our third year staying here, we love and look forward to coming back each time. Steven and Michelle are great hosts and are very easy to reach and communicate with. The cabin has everything you need and a lot of stuff for kids to stay busy with while I relax by the fire pit or in the hammock.
