Non existence
No one, no one at the property Unsecured, empty, and not answering phone. Had to find another stay at 7pm in an unfamiliar location. Very stressful for a 67 y.o. woman traveling alone. Should not be an Hotels.com property. They helped get my money back!

Hi Regina, I am so sorry that you had this experience with us. We texted back and forth in the early day with arrival instructions and I am very disturbed that we missed the mark on making you confortable. I contacted hotels.com myself as soon as I heard of the trouble. Again I apologize and we will work very hard on getting the check in procedure full proof. We booked a quiet midweek respite at Azaleana Manor in the large suite. It was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast in the house's library with a wonderful view of St John's river. The staff are lovely and the owner very friendly without being intrusive. We would stay again.

would stay here again
walls are a little thin but other than that we enjoyed our stay. didn't see anyone on site but we came and left at odd hours. room was clean and comfortable. beautiful venue for an event or wedding.

Unit not cleaned. We found full bathroom trash can, hair on bathroom floor, and items from pervious guests UNDER THE RUGS! When we complained we were told it is the holiday and people are in a rush No one was sent to rectify the situation. Very disappointing as the setting was beautiful.

Thank you very much for letting me know the condition of your suite, we are a brand new property and are appalled about the bathroom not being spotless. We don't regularly lift up the rugs but we will start doing that now. I hope you will give us a chance to get it right. We wish you the best in your travels.

Stunning property right on The St. John's River. incredible room and more incredible views. Very peaceful and quiet. The owner is very involved in her business and it shows. I would recommend calling her directly to ask questions. She is lovely and a wealth of knowledge.

Great for a get away! Very Quiet!
Highly recommended- you are greated and shown to your room, then given a tour of the facilities. Breakfast is cooked for you at your own set time- which was very good!

This place is so beautiful! It’s right on the water with a beautiful view. We were lucky that it wasn’t busy and we pretty much had the mansion all to ourselves. It was very quiet because there weren’t any weddings scheduled. The owner is so sweet!

It’s a beautiful mansion with a scenic river view. However, the toilet was dirty in the restroom when it was a suite. No extra toilet paper was in the room either. No utensils provided that I had to ask the lady for it and she would give me just one fork. Breakfast is included in the fee but you can’t expect anything like a hotel or not even a motel breakfast. There just won’t be any food during bfast time. It’s also an event venue. It was packed with people and loud during the whole daytime. The place is nice, the hosting lady is kinda nice, but I’m sorry the quality just isn’t there. Totally not worth of money... :(

The Azaleana Manor is wonderful! My husband and I went for a couple of nights for a peaceful, relaxing time. The home was spotless and decorated beautifully for Christmas. Although there are around 9 rooms it is very private. We actually were the only guest at the time. There was a Christmas party hosted there one night but we were able to mingle with the guest and enjoy music and dancing. Since we were staying there we also received a complimentary breakfast at The Continental next door. It is also a beautiful place with delicious food. We enjoyed our breakfast so much we went back for dinner there. The food was wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. The manager personally met us for check-in and showed us around the property. She is very accommodating. I would recommend the Azaleana for a wedding venue or a private romantic getaway in Jacksonville. This is definitely a 5-star resort. Dr. & Mrs. Mark Corbitt

The property was so much more than expected. It is such a beautiful atmosphere. The staff and owner make you feel at home. My husband and I did not want to leave. So if you are going for a wedding I would highly recommend going. The same for any situation. We went to relax and that's just what we got.

It was more like visiting a friend than a hotel being an event center. The owner and staff made us feel welcome and right at home with a special personal touch!! We were blessed to have the place to ourselves and the grounds and views were spectacular. Due to covid 19 the regular cleaning service was missing but overall very very minor cleaning complaint!! The amazing home cooked breakfast, large modern rooms and bathrooms, gorgeous grounds pool and club, and attentativeness from the owner and staff could not have been any better!! We didn’t want to leave and are anxious to go back. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing time! The host was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She even baked home made coffee cake for us! Beautiful view, relaxing walk along the river shore, clean room.

Staff was very friendly - even waited for us to arrive. But the thermostat is one of those new programmable things and I could not figure it out and had Air Conditioning blowing on me all night - 40 degrees outside. No answer to two telephone numbers at 10:00. Both voice mails. Also could not figure out how coffee pot worked. Basic motel unit but missing something?

We showed up at this property to check-in and no one was there. We tried to get a refund. We paid for trip insurance. The trip insurance was also not honored for not staying in this location. We ended up staying in another hotel. We called a left a message, the manor (not a hotel) did not bother to return the call. We have called again and we have yet to hear from the manor. This was the worst customer service support I've experienced in my travels.

I need to let you know that we are a brand new facility and you would have been our first reservation made online. We did not receive your reservation and had no idea that you had booked with us.
