  • Two bedroom Chalet, in a secluded area very romantic, facing a river, on the back road to Stratton Mountain.Only six miles from Stratton Mountain. Four seasons of adventure, relaxation, antiquing, country living, fine dining and more, or travel only 20 min. and take a snowmobile tour for adults and children. Enjoy a fabulous winter horse drawn sleigh ride or trail ride for horse lovers of all ages. Go swimming at Pikes Falls Take a foliage, maple sugaring or 'Holiday in Vermont' tour. Fine dining, outlet shopping and antiquing in Manchester is first rate. Located just, 20 min. from Bromley , 30 minutes from Mount Snow...Summer Activities: hiking, camping, biking, rafting, swimming, golfing, Bromley Alpine Slide. Drive 1 miles to: Jamaica State Park (Hamilton Falls). Rent a kayak, row boat, canoe, go fishing, or just relax on our deck and read a book or two, while you enjoy the sounds of the outdoors. Drive 30 min. to Manchester (restaurants,outlets,movie theater), and more.

We would not recommend staying here in the winter. The house was COLD, we had to wear our ski jackets indoors the first day/evening, it took many hours for the electric baseboard heaters to warm up the bedrooms.

Great Cozy Family Getaway

Easy check in, responsive to questions, peaceful setting with being right on water. Great getaway for my family, easily accessible to Stratton and a relaxing spot after a ski day - awesome fireplace.

Photos don't do it justice!

Lovely little spot that has been updated since the photos (new windows, for one). It was summer when we stayed so the river was low, but the noise of the brook was still wonderful.

Absolutely perfect!

Cindy’s property was beautiful and the river was amazing. Incredible views and convenient to all the mountains for snowboarding. The house was even better than the listing shows! All in all the perfect little spot to spend a long weekend!

We knew the house was dated but a few things that should be improved. Was ok clean not real clean. Bathroom had wall to wall carpets and toilet and shower were not real clean. he bed in the Main bedroom bed looked beautiful, but it was way too soft. The other bedroom had two twin beds and not good for couples. Kitchen was dated. The highlights were the fireplace and the outdoor deck. the deck was amazing. we loved the fireplace.

Great Ski Escape

Great location and the water was a definite plus. Incredible views and cozy place to stay. Used the fireplace morning and night. Very close to mountain. Enjoyed our stay!!

Perfect for a family ski getaway

This little cottage was perfect for my family of four while we were in VT to ski for a few days. The pictures and description were accurate and the host was easy to work with and communicated as needed. We will definitely consider this place again.

Great location for a retreat

Being next to the river was very relaxing. The house is cozy. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you Cindy! Just a small comment, it would be nice to add a salad bowl and a pie dish for the oven.

Scenic wonder

Our Jamaica Vermont getaway

Our overall experience was more than we could have imagined. The owner of the property (Cindy) was amazing and even had something special for my kids to do!! The location was breathtaking and the chalet was very comfortable! We can't wait to go back!!

Weekend getaway

This place is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. You long for nothing when you stay in this tranquility home! Cindy was very responsive. She was always readily available for questions and answers. Easy check in and check out! I recommend staying here and look forward to staying again!

Cozy & quaint

Cindy was a pleasure to work with! Her home was exactly as described. We felt very comfortable in her home and the town of Jamaica is so cute! We went to the cutest little general store every morning to get breakfast and lunch. There are plenty of board games to enjoy waiting for you as you arrive… it is 15 minutes from Stratton Mountain. There is a foyer to leave your boots and jackets to hang.

2 Yrs in a row - great location

My family of 4 has stayed here for two years in a row for our trip to VT to go skiing. The location is perfect for visits to Stratton mountain. Neighborhood is very quiet and the water flowing by the big open windows is a relaxing way to end the day. The full kitchen, bath and bedrooms provided ample space for us to spread out a little and the living room and dining area with plenty of board games provided a cozy space for family time. Cindy was a helpful and responsive host and the house was clean and well-maintained. Will definitely stay here again!

Ski home base

A very cozy ski house 10 minutes to Stratton. The house is well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal, have a fire, play any number of board games, and watch a movie. This is not a new sleek ski condo but a well cared for home. Host is very responsive (needed wifi password). A very comfortable and convenient spot that my family would definitely stay at again.

Great weekend getaway right near Stratton!

Cindy's place was just perfect for a ski weekend! It was only 15 minutes from Stratton mountain even using the backroad with snow falling. The house has such an amazing view and it was incredible to be right on the river. Cindy supplied everything we needed and left a few items like fresh jam for us. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be booking in the future.

River house

The location was very private. The river was literally right at the edge of the deck! Firewood provided was really nice! Cindy was incredibly friendly and had lots of suggestions for things to do in the area. Big falls just a few miles down the road and that as a beautiful site and nice hike!

nice skiing base for a family

All as advertised or better (easy 5 stars). That porch in front of the river is likely a special experience during warmer seasons. Short drive to Stratton Sun Bowl lifts. Tap water has strange taste, bring some bottled water (not a big deal; and grocery store is 5 minutes drive).

Quintessential Vermont Ski Home

Fun place. Exactly what one would expect a Vermont ski house to be. Very New England feel. Nick nacs everywhere. DVD’s, records, etc. - charming and fun. It’s not the Ritz Carlton- but it’s not supposed to be. It’s a ski house, on a river, in rural Vermont. Perfection.
