“Clean and cozy guesthouse. Breakfasts were delicious. Yamasan provided rides to local ski areas (and to medical appointments after my husband got injured); and both Yamasan and his wife were very helpful for organizing taxis and for shipping luggage. Arigato gozaimasu! ”

“Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and even helped drive us to the train station and stopped at the beautiful snowy sights around Biei along the way. This is a beautiful location, close to AKJ airport (by car, or by bus with a bit of walking). We decided to stay here because we wanted an easy location to stay the night after arriving in Hokkaido, before heading to the mountains. It was cozy, quiet, and clean, and we would stay here again happily.”

While the location was convenient for walking to local pubs and convenience stores, and the staff was very responsive—helping us arrange a private taxi from the airport—the overall experience left a lot to be desired. “Sato san and Nora san were the perfect hosts for our 4-night stay. Food was very good and the pension was warm and cozy. Our room was spacious enough and had a wonderful view of sunrise and even part of Mt Iwaki. Our room package came with daily breakfast and dinner. We felt we were staying with good friends and every dinner was pleasantly spent with Sato san, Nora san and fellow guests. Bon-chan was a delightful addition to the experience too.
