“Me gusto la casa y las dimensiones. Por otro lado, los utensilios de la casa, referido a la cocina, eran deficientes. Una casa preparada para 6, aunque eramos 4, y no habia mas que 5 vasos ( y todos de distinto tamaño), un juego de cubiertos, faltaba una paella de tamaño grande...lo de sólo poder estar una hora en la piscina tambien mejorable.”

“Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning.”

“Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude. Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back. A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day. Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again.”

“Very comfortable bed and all staff most helpful, Hotel could do with an update including air conditioning a must if our summers are going to continue to get hotter and of course air conditioning can also be used as heating in the winter instead of out dated gas boilers.”

“We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. “Our 2nd stay at the Sailors Rest...Nice room with fantastic views & a huge king size bed... Great shower & mini fridge with fresh milk & water ...nice touch. Happy with our 1 night stay in Beautiful Appledore & hopefully will return to the Sailors Rest in the future.”

“Very disappointing stay , We arrived after a 9 hour drive , when we arrived the cottage wasn’t cleaned and no bedding , We rang both Wayne and Karen , we decided to go buy some bedding , on route Karen did ring back to be fair and apologised saying she was told we was due on the 6th , (day of departure,) Went to the pub for an hour and Karen had the cottage ready , I thanked her by tx but no communications back , nothing from Wayne all week , I would of expected a follow up chat asking if...

“We stayed at no 5 lake view. The property was very dirty. No Internet connection. We couldn't complain at the time as we arrived late due to traffic. No hot water for shower next morning. Towels too small and old. Kitchen area unclean. Outside decking filthy. Tea towels and fridge unclean and smell”
