We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. “If you would like to experience living in a 400 year old cottage, with many original features, surrounded by so much beauty and peacefulness, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend it enough. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by hens and cats. We were then shown to our ‘living area’, bathroom and upstairs - a double bed and bunk beds. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. There were so many extras included - books, binoculars, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/fresh...

“5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. ”

“A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a walking holiday. Plenty of info from the helpful owner who came around to explain things shortly after I arrived. A short walk to the station. Parking OK outside cottage as long as you have a relatively small car (larger cars can park further down the lane I think). All in all an excellent cottage.”
