This is a first. This cabin actually exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had firewood for the firepit, all the fixings for s'mores and a bag of ice in the freezer for our trip home. Oh and the views goes without saying.

Beautiful View of the Arkansas Grand

The “Above the Fog” cabin was everything we hoped it would be for our week in beautiful Arkansas! The cabin is conveniently located near Jasper, the Buffalo River, and several of the waterfalls featured in Tim Ernst’s book “Arkansas Waterfalls”. We enjoyed coffee every morning overlooking the Arkansas Grand Canyon and fixed several dinners in the well equipped kitchen. Tammy was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and check-in was seamless! We hope to stay again!

Beautiful View & Impeccably Clean!

I really want to give this place a 5-star review! A few suggestions/personal preference…. PROs - so many! GORGEOUS cabinPrivate deck with majestic view. Exceptionally clean, kitchen was mostly well-stocked.Location is PERFECT! CONS - personal personal but I want to pass along as this is a bit expensive for area…VERY firm Queen bed in main floor bedroom. Only one nightstand. Cheap, flat pillows and microfiber (hot) sheets. We ended up going upstairs to sleep in another bedroom (in separate beds) after the first night of very little sleep - not ideal for a couple’s getaway! Recommend King bed in Master. Please hang window coverings in upstairs dorm windows- saw this recommendation in an early review but are still not covered. We prefer room-darkening so we can sleep in on vacation. Not many table/floor lamps in living/kitchen area, so had to use overhead lights which were bright and cool/harsh. Water pressure in showers was “meh.”Had to ask for check-in instructions and were sent in text the night before - no check-out instructions. We left it completely clean - even washed sheets we only used once. Hoping for positive feedback. :)We come to the area 1-2 times per year and probably won’t stay here again but most people may find it perfect. Thank you!!

Can I give this more than five stars!?

This property has all you can want, stunning views, well appointed kitchen, multiple places to enjoy the outdoors, and ample linens. The host was easy to communicate with and the cabin was clean and fresh. We certainly want to come back. Alum Cove, Lost Valley and Triple Falls were our favorite hikes and the waterfall book in the cabin was very helpful in planning our outings.

Beautiful Cabin in Arkansas

The view at the cabin is stunning. We couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. We got to see the sunrise in the morning with the fog below covering the valleys. We now know why it is called “Above the Fog.” The cabin was clean and organized. There were plenty of board games and a s’mores bar which was nice. Tammy was responsive to any questions we had and even called me the day before we came down to let us know about some construction going on one of the roads to the cabin. I do want to say that the roads to the cabin are steep and may be difficult for motorcycles or smaller vehicles, we are familiar with the area so luckily we rented a car just for this. Overall, the stay was perfect and we hope to visit again.

Perfect getaway!

This property was the perfect place to get away! The house was clean and had everything we needed and the property was very well maintained. The view from the porch was awesome and then heading out onto the lookout deck was breathtaking! We will definitely be back! One thing to note is the first section of the driveway is very rough but evens out after a short distance.

Motorcycle Trip

Great area and beautiful scenery. Loved the property. Sat on the deck everyday. Only issue we had was the super rough driveway. But we made it work....a bit difficult with bikes. But it is just another amazing story to tell about our stay and time in Arkansas.

Beautiful view, great location

We had a wonderful time in Jasper, the home was perfect for our family. Everything was top notch, the house was clean, well furnished, and perfectly met all of our needs. The only minor knocks were the road off 7 is very rough and the two bedrooms upstairs could use a blind on the north facing windows, lots of light in the early mornings.

peaceful getaway

very nice cabin with great views . covered rear deck on cabin with lower open deck . the lane off rt 7 going up to cabin is not the best for the first 75 yards . beware if you are a motorcycle rider or have a low riding car .if your cooking , bring your own condiments . coffee provided was great . one of the most scenic and nice cabins I have stayed at in the area . nice fire pit and wood provided .

Great choice for a quiet cabin with a view

Above The Fog cabin was a great choice for our weekend trip to Jasper. Prompt communication from property manager, beautiful view, close to town but still secluded, cabin was well stocked with amenities and supplies. One thing that is hard to determine from the pictures provided is how close to the highway this cabin is... many of these Jasper cabins are right on the highway and I was concerned that was going to be the case here but it is not... the cabin is located down a side road off the main highway so you're not visible to the highway when you're outside. Nice location and Jasper is a very cool mountain/river town. Will return to Jasper and the Above The Fog cabin.

We loved it everything was neat and new. We tried to rent it out again for us and our kids in October but it was already booked out for the weekend we wanted. Hope we can get a chance to stay in the other cabins on the property soon!
