This home is absolutely beautiful, the décor, views, and thoughtful touches make it feel truly special. The books, decor, speakers, and kitchen were all wonderful. Views are just remarkable. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn’t great for the total cost of the stay. It was evident many things weren’t cleaned for a long time. There was noticeable dust/hair/debris/cobwebs/spiders throughout the house like on toilets, seating areas, coffee station, books, shelves, floors, outlets, and switches. Plugging in a charger often meant running into webs. Sitting up in bed against the headboard and using the blankets provided were uncomfortable due to the layers of dust. The toaster area hadn’t been cleaned since prior guests. We spent a fair amount of energy avoiding touching and stepping into these things. The downstairs bathrooms are very outdated. I asked about cleanliness before our stay and was told not to expect the same as at home, but I did expect standard cleaning.After checkout, we were also charged an extra 30 cleaning fee and didn’t get a clear answer as to why. We followed all instructions and were told the housekeeper will handle the rest. We even spent a lot of time tidying up before leaving.

We throughly enjoyed our stsy at Neon Fish. Thr home did not feel like a typical rental home. It felt more like you are staying at a friend’s vacation home.The furnishing and artwork are thoughfully selected and highend. There us a view out of every window of the pacific coast. The kitchen is well equiped. Our host, Kim, was very responsive and helpful. We would love to visit again.

We go to Neon Fish usually twice a year. We can't say enough about the location, the unique property and always very clean. If you like the rocky coast line surrounded by woods you will not be disappointed.

Mesmerizing.

I was a bit hesitant as the pictures looked almost too perfect, like they were generated or altered. Nope: the views are just as pictured. We spent much of our time entranced from the many indoor and outdoor vantage points. Even the kitchen sink has a view! Heed the warnings about no children: there really is no grace here as the cliff is for real. We were able to scramble down to the cove on the north side but be careful on the others much of the trails are loose. Fort Ross market up the road has some basics if needed and a great deli. Kim was easy to communicate with and proactive on checkin instructions.

This home and the surrounding area was absolutely beautiful! The entire process was seamless and the property manager communicated everything so well. The ocean views from every point in the home was breathtaking. We spent hours just staring at the water. We would definitely come again!

Wonderful get away overlooking the ocean

We (two couples) are experienced travels with VRBO etc., and we thought this was the best ever - fantastic house, the ocean is outside most of the windows, there is no road noise, wonderful green scenery, fireplace warmed our bods as well as our hearts, it was just great. Kitchen was efficient with Al-Clad pans (etc) for our experienced chefs, gas stove, nice wine glasses which enhanced our nice wines. Really a great birthday weekend!!!

This was our third time staying at the Neon Fish. The home is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings throughout. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. We are already discussing our next stay.

BEAUTIFUL

Neon Fish is an absolutely beautiful private home right on the ocean with amazing views of the ocean and cliffs. My husband and I stayed there for our 30th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. It was mesmerizing watching the waves crash into the rocks, and we enjoyed the visits from the deer. Our only cons on the home is we wish it had king sized beds instead of queens and more options on comfortable seating on the deck overlooking the ocean. However, that would not stop us from staying again. It was amazing!

Oceanside getaway

We are from Minnesota and wanted to stay next to the ocean for our 45th wedding anniversary. The Neon Fish exceeded all our expectations for this experience! We enjoyed the main room for watching waves, whales, seals, and deer. The sound of the waves was so relaxing and the views from every room mesmerizing.Loved the cliff lighting at night and viewing the sunsets and night sky.

Top 10 Stay

This property really lived up to its listing as a top rated VRBO. The views were stunning, and that is an understatement. Kim was very helpful in suggesting things to do and places to eat. She responded instantly to any small issue. We enjoyed hiking and visited local shops, galleries, and restaurants. People were inviting and friendly wherever we went. Our neighbors had to cut a few trees down, and brought over a beautiful rose from their garden + a lovely bottle of wine from Fort Ross as they were concerned the noise would bother us. Who does that? Such nice people. We highly recommend Neon Fish to anyone wanting to get away from it all at a beautiful location that cannot be topped!

This Places Deserves 20 Stars!

Like many of you, we’ve stayed in the most beautiful places on this planet. This place, though, is in a class of its own. Yes, the home is an architectural gem and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We brought in food and ate every meal there because we saw no reason to waste a single evening of looking out into the wildest, most gorgeous coastline views we have ever seen. Mind you, we’ve stayed in this same area many times, but after spending a week at this place we now know we’ve seen the most magnificent setting of all.

Really amazing experience!

This home is incredible. My husband and and I stayed along with another couple and our experience exceeded expectations. The home design takes full advantage of every fantastic view and even with the open floor plan, provides many areas for solitude. We enjoyed the art throughout the home. Bed linens were awesome. The grounds and foliage surround you with peace and beauty. We enjoyed the family of deer in the morning and the seals swimming in the bay. . Interesting master shower!
