The property was great - loved the beach and pool access. We were disappointed in our room in that it was advertised as a king and two twins which we booked to accomodate traveling with our two children. We received a room with two double beds and management was not accomodating wanting to charge us for a separate roll away. Next time I will confirm that what is advertised is what I will be receiving. We did very much enjoy our time on the property and would love to be back.

Family vacation. Four generations!

I have been coming to Kaanapali Shores for 35 years. It’s a great location for us. The unit had everything we needed and would stay there again. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with someone above us smoking heavily and the smoke coming into our unit. The front desk took care of it immediately. It is a non-smoking property. We talked about returning next year. Thanks Terry for all of your help.

Great spot in Kaanapali

Great space and location, beachfront and big open pools, loved the hot tub as well. Beautiful long shoreline watching sunset/sunrise everyday. Location not crowded yet walking distance to a lot of food trucks/stores and other nice beaches. Host answered all questions and very helpful. A few appliance issues. Stove broke, maintenance took some time to come to fix but nice enough to give $50 credit. Kitchen sink started to not drain well, dryer broke twice and eventually fixed but broke again so left vacation with damp clothes. But even with all the appliance issues, it was forgotten while my family enjoyed the beaches there so beautiful! Overall great family trip!

Anniversary Trip

Everything was wonderful except our confirmation was for 2 rooms (King and two twins), but when we checked in the unit had the the two twin beds but then a full size/queen. The resort, after much discussion, was able to move us into a unit with a king, but said that rooms were not guaranteed. I knew the specific unit was determined at check-in, but if the room was listed as a king that should also be guaranteed. Other than that, it was GREAT. Great location, nice restaurant, clean pools, good location.

It was just right!!!

This was the perfect place for my family of 4 with 1 teenage daughter and a son that is in college! Check in and out was very easy! The bathrooms and bedrooms were all clean. And the washer and dryer combo was very convenient and worked well. Only suggestion is a broom, because of the sand and or dirt from our hikes. Don’t know if there was one or not but couldn’t find one. But overall the stay was GREAT!! I would stay here again.

Great family property!

We had a great time staying at the Aston Kaanapali Shores resort, this time with 2 kids. The twin beds in one room was a perfect set up, the Ocean View was beautiful and we loved hearing the live music from the pool on a couple of days/evenings. We would definitely stay again!

Phenomenal experience overall. The property is well managed and located extremely close to a grocery store, ABC store as well as numerous excellent restaurants. Our teenagers enjoyed the beach activities and playing pickle ball. Great vacation experience.

Our favorite place to stay in Maui

We love staying here. Easy access to the beach. Just steps away. The grounds are very keeper up at all times. The pool and hot tub are great for soaking any Sore muscles from you adventures. The staff is always polite and when you get to know some of the staff they will tell you great stories of Hawaii. There are awesome classes for ukulele and hula dance. Our room was very spacious and a great place to relax at the end of the day. With amazing view every morning and every night. A hui hou!

Wonderful stay in Maui!

We really enjoyed Kaanapali Shores! The condo unit was very clean and decorated nicely. We stayed on the 7th floor, in a 2 bed 2 bathroom unit and it was plenty big enough for 4 adults. The ocean view was pretty! We enjoyed eating dinner on our patio in the evenings. We also liked the pools and restaurant on site. The location in Kaanapali is great, close to Times grocery store and many food options. The check-in/out process was easy, it was just like a hotel reception. Also I reached out to the host Terry to ask some questions about the unit, he was very quick to respond and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we go to Maui! Highly recommend this unit and booking with Terry!

Slice of paradise!

We had a great experience at this property! The condo was spacious enough that it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other and we had 5 adults and a 3 year old. We spent so much of our time out on the balcony watching the whales! The ocean view is perfect! The grounds are beautiful and pool perfectly suited our needs. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook meals for our big group! I highly recommend this condo for a family stay!!!

Great property but confusing Ad and check in process.

Be forewarned. The property that you see on Vrbo is not a single location. The owner has multiple locations within this property so you may not get the unit that you think you are getting. In my case I wanted an ocean view on a higher floor and needed an early check in because our flights were canceled and rebooked by the airlines. Got the complete run around on an early check, said they would give us a priority check-in but ended up not being able to check in until 4:00 PM. Then they try to give me a room on the 2nd floor which is not what I booked. After arguing with front desk, finally got the room I wanted and it paid off as we were able to see many whales from the upper balcony versus lower. Other than that, loved our stay and views. Pool is great. Dishwasher and laundry in unit are super noisy.

Great family friendly property!

This is our second time staying at the Aston Kaanapali Shores and the first time booking a suite through VRBO. This 2 bedroom suite was great - spacious, well equipped, had some nice modernizations throughout, beautiful views of the ocean, pools and garden. Our kids LOVE the pools here, especially in the evening when all the lights are on! The beach here is fairly narrow but there are many larger beaches and coves to visit close by. We enjoyed the coffee shop in the mornings, lunchtime cocktails and dinner at the beach/pool bar while listening to the chilled live music. The location is fantastic for scuba-diving enthusiasts, shopping at Whalers Village and strolling/eating/shopping at the lovely town of Lahaina. Across the road from the property are a variety of eateries, food trucks, large grocery store and doctor. We found all of the staff here to be very welcoming and helpful, no complaints at all!
