We really loved Kaanapali Shores and this particular room. It faces the neighboring resorts (with a full ocean view behind it), but this room is so high up, it feels very private and not like everyone can see into your room.The staff was very friendly, the pools are gorgeous and there’s more sandy beach than a lot of the other resorts. We were also pleasantly surprised how well stocked with beach gear and kitchen equipment this particular unit was.Even as we were exploring around and could see the other resorts, we agreed we liked Kaanapali Shores best and will come back to this place again!Some must-do activities—we took advantage of the free ticket for the sunset dinner cruise and it was wonderful. Also, we went over to Whalers Village several times, every restaurant we tried was good.I really can’t even think of a down side. We were so happy with our stay—and the price! Really hoping to go back!!

We loved staying at Kaanapali Shores! The room was spacious and stocked with all the amenities we needed. We loved having a closet full of beach supplies like beach chairs & towels. The view was beautiful from the balcony. It was the perfect mix of condo and resort vibes. We loved the location being so close to stores and food trucks! Only thing that would’ve made it better was different bed sheets, as the ones they had were not very breathable & made it feel sweaty at night.

The location of Kaanapali Shores is great, right on the beach. Grounds were nice and had 2 decent pools. They have front desk staff 24hrs a day which was great since we got into Maui late night. This actual condo suite was just ok. The kitchen was fully stocked (even had ice packs) and there were beach towels, chairs, and a cooler to use which was convenient. The bathroom is really small and the shower head is really short so not good if you are taller than 5'5. The suite is older, which you cant quite tell from the pictures. The view is amazing and can be seen once you open the door. But if you look down, there is a dirty stream that you see, along with construction equipment.

Great experience!

Great unit; clean and appreciated beach chairs and basic paper products and initial toiletries. Loved the resort, well kept and loved the beach front bar and restaurant. Had small issue initially with tub plug but contacted manager and they were very prompt to respond and resolved within the day. Would definitely stay again!

Fabulous time

Just got back from a trip to celebrate our 29th anniversary and we had a great time. They had everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beach if the weather permitted. We got a lot of rain but went in January to see the whales. We couldn’t believe how many we saw, even from our lanai. Every time we had any questions, we got prompt replies. Thanks for everything!!

Great Place

Really nice place. Nice pool. Nice beach! Right across street from nice grocery store and shops. Pools were beautiful. Restaurant on property was very reasonable considering it was Maui on the beach. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Wonderful experience!

12 years staying at Kaanapolli shores

We loved staying here! We always choose this resort. It has so much to offer! although this room was further back from the beach, the views were amazing! Lots of whales. The first time we stayed in a studio- it was laid out so well! and the decorative upgrades and large screen TV were nice surprises from what the pics show. Great use of space! We would stay here again in the future!.

Awesome Resort

Kaanapali Shores is a very nice resort. Awesome grounds to explore. Two big pools to swim in, two hot tubs to relax in and the beach is only steps from the pool. The resort has everything you could want. The room was very clean and nicely updated. It has an amazingly huge view of the ocean from the 9th floor. A good size Lanai to sit on and enjoy the view. We shut the screen door and left the glass door open at night to hear the waves. It was very relaxing. The property management was very informative and quick to respond to any questions. We hope to come back soon!

Wonderful place!

My wife and I were very impressed. The room was clean and exactly as described in the photos. The kitchen had dishes and all the cookware you would need to make dinner. While we mostly ate out, it came in handy with our two year-old who preferred to each plain foods she was accustomed to eating. The view was beautiful. Due to flight cancellations, we had to change the dates slightly, and the property management company was very responsive and helpful. The hotel/resort was beautiful. You are minutes from the beach. We watched the sun set several nights on the beach from the hotel. The pools were a big hit with our daughter. The staff was incredibly helpful. All together, we had a wonderful stay. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Resort is great room has issues

There were tiny bugs everywhere in the kitchen area so we couldn’t keep anything on the counter or table. The refrigerator dripped a brown goo on the floor every time the door was opened and I found used masks under the couch. It says there is laundry in the unit and there isn’t. I called the mgmt company to ask about it the first day and never heard back so I didn’t bother trying again about anything else. The resort itself was fantastic. I would definety go back.

Great location and great resort

The resort is really nice with all the amenities - great pools, restaurant on site, beach front. Can watch the sunset from the beach. The room is small but lovely and updates with kitchenette stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. Would recommend and stay again!!

Great location, NOT great communication

Loved the location of this place. However, the first day we were there, our refrigerator, microwave and tv weren’t working. We notified the manager, they sent their maintenance person out, he couldn’t fix it, so he then sent the property maintenance man who also couldn’t fix it. We never heard from the property manager, so I messaged them asking for an update because we wanted to be there if people were in and out of the apartment. Also, not having these amenities, was very inconvenient for us, as we planned to warm up multiple meals and relax and watch movies/tv in the evening, which we currently couldn’t do. We didn’t hear back from the property manager. Once we checked out, they asked if they could improve our stay, we expressed our concerns and frustrations with not having all the amenities available for the week, 4 days later and they still haven’t responded to us. We understand things stop working, but we would have appreciated communication throughout the week, as we had planned to use these amenities frequently.

Great affordable get away

My husband and I really needed to get away and this property was perfect to do so. We had everything we needed right there in the unit and access to all the hotel amenities. It was nice to have walking distance to food trucks and grocery stores. We hopped in the car and we were downtown Lahaina in 10 minutes. Such a great spot! Highly recommend 😊

Very Nice!

We really did enjoy our stay in Maui. The location was very nice but the beach right there isn’t really great for laying out and enjoying the ocean. We did enjoy the pool and the view from our condo was so pretty. We loved that they had pickleball equipment that you could check out and use at the front desk. Overall we would stay here again.
