Outer door to condo looked like ghetto housing and and we were a bit taken back, but once we got into the condo it was nice and clean and met all our needs. We had an issue with the living room TV but I was able to trace all the wiring and found that a cable between the TV and cable box had been disconnected. We were unable to contact the owner by e-mail or phone. We settled in and found the place to be a good location with a nice view and quite comfortable.
The bird on our Lanai and view of the ocean and Two islands. We saw lots of turtles, seals, and one big fish I believe was a shark.

Last minute vacation saver!

When we had a horrible experience with our condo at a different complex that "stretched the truth" about their amenities, we needed to find another place to stay on very short notice. We felt lucky to find the Gem of Maui available!Cathy was extremely accommodating with our predicament. She even let us in a bit early so we could transfer our refrigerated and frozen items, saving us hundreds of dollars! The unit is exactly as described. I'd even say they undersell the balcony/lanai - the privacy and view of the sunset are spectacular!Looking forward to returning.

Amazing Stay!!

The property was exactly as decribed and perfect for what we were looking for. The unit was clean and well appointed. The point of contact was very responsive and had clear communication so we never had to guess at next steps. You cant get closer to an ocean view!! I would definitely revisit.

Great View! Average condo.

We enjoyed our time in Maui. The view from this condo on the 10th floor facing the ocean is as advertised is exactly as advertised - outstanding.The condo itself is in decline, a victim of age and the aggressive salt atmosphere. Lots of rust on appliances and doorways.

Ridiculous Ocean View

I would pay to just sleep on the lanai. Our stay was amazing. We couldn't always snorkel down outside the hotel, but when we did it was the best snorkeling we've ever done. Turtles everywhere, tons of fish of all sizes, great location for us, walkable to Snorkel Bob's and ABC Store. It was nicer than the $1500/night suite my mom got down the street.

We had an amazing trip. Condo is as advertised you’ll have phenomenal views everyday we saw turtles whales and a monk seal all from the lanai. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely Perfect!

We stayed at this condo during whale season and, as the description says, it is the best spot for whale watching! The entire place is beautiful and clean with a spectacular view and access to the beach. The pool area is great too! There are 2 clean grills and a full kitchen. I highly recommend it!

Front row to Whale Watching

We found the unit to be comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials. The lanai put us front and center for great whale watching. We spent hours enjoying the breeze and the sounds of the surf. Amazing location.

Loved it!

We LOVED this place! Cathy’s description is 100% accurate! The unit had everything we needed and more - microwave, fridge, blender, air conditioning, bath towels (so soft), beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, free parking, pool, hot tub, tv (which we didn’t use) and binoculars (which we used a lot). The only thing we needed was another pair of chopsticks to eat the poke we bought from Foodland. haha. Great location - short drives to Kapalua Bay Beach, Whaler’s Village and Lahaina. Steps away from the beach. Times market and food trucks were just down the street. But the best part was looking for whales right from the lanai during our breakfast and enjoying the sounds of the ocean waves each evening. We just left, but are already trying to figure out when we can go back!

relaxing getaway

we could unfortunately only stay for 4 nights, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. watched MANY many whales play right in front of us on our last morning. we did not want to leave. many little things (binos, cooler...) helped us enjoy our stay to the fullest. great place: well appointed and clean.

40th Anniversary

The property is as advertised. The condo is very nice, convenient amenities. Access to local beach within short walk. Million dollar view from the lanai. Cathy the owner was very responsive to small problem and very easy to work with. She give very clear instructions and offers advice on things to do and where to eat. Thank you Cathy, we would love to return next year.

Absolutely Fantastic

My husband and I stayed in this condo for a week and it was spectacular. First things first, the lanai has a gorgeous view of the ocean and neighboring islands. We spent hours outside, just enjoying the view and sound of the waves. The condo itself is well-appointed, with comfy furniture and all the basics you need, including towels, chairs, etc. for the beach. I'd also like to compliment Cathy on her outstanding communication. Everything was seamless and she answered questions almost immediately. We intend to come back and have every intention of staying here again. Highly, highly recommend.

This was a fantastic location with a great view. Big bedroom and big living room area. Good amenities in the building. Free and always available parking. I couldn’t get enough of the view and the sounds of the ocean right outside. Amazing host and amazing unit.

Awesome unit

We had a fabulous stay. I'd like to stay in this unit on every visit to Maui. It was quiet and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the views were breath taking. As soon as we opened the door, we watched whales breeching like crazy. We also watched the turtles swim by. Amazing unit! Thank You!!!
