The Good: Condo is well appointed, perfect location, beautiful views, nicely decorated, clean, updated to meet all of your needs, lots of extras!
The Bad: The only BIG downfall was the AC issue. We noticed on our first day that the condo was a little warm, but, we just assumed that the cleaning crew was in there and would take a little time to cool down. That night and ALL nights of our 8 day stay, and also during some of the days, the resort turned off the air conditioner between 1-5 am; while everyone was sleeping; the unit would get up to78- 79 degrees.. Not very comfortable with humidity. Needless to say, we never slept well any night. We even tried to open all of the windows/sliding door. Not comfortable, the hottest month of the season. The real estate management company claims that they were unaware of the issue; they were aware of an issue a year prior, but said that it had resolved. On the third day, the real estate management company spoke with the building manager, where they advised what we said was correct. We personally spoke with the building manager too. Basically, the building has had an issue with the AC unit for the building ever since put in the new one( for the last year). And, due to limitations with their current system set up, their work around starting in July, has been to turn off the AC every night. The Building manager did state that a notification was sent out to the unit owners. However, the rental management, stated that they were not made aware of the outstanding issue. Although the rental company was responsive, and did come by to provide an extra fan, it did not resolve the issue. What could we really do? Had we known of the issue, we would not have booked our stay for that unit or for that building. Due to the circumstance, we asked the rental company if there was a way they would make good regarding the rental fee. We did not ask for a full refund, but, felt it was pretty unfair not to give us some part back. If it was my business, I would not think twice. Our response was I am sorry, but, unforeseen issues are a possibility, we do our best to help remedy any issues. Pretty disappointing response in our opinion.
We are positive that the rental management company is aware of the issue. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that that you confirm with them and the building, that the issue has been completely resolved. We are hoping that our experience will help someone else out. Hopefully it is fixed.
