“Te Mahuru is a most exceptional, beautiful, very clean and overall, a perfect place to stay. Jen went out of her way to be accommodating and we give thanks t the highest rating possible. The gardens and views were spectacular, the hot tubs were lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Homemade bread each morning and plenty of great choices. The patio off our room was very private and comfortable for sitting with a cup of tea gazing at the beautiful mountains in the background....

“We stayed in the aeonium apartment which doesnt have a sea view but is still in a great location in the lovely garden. The apartment was clean spacious and had kettle, toaster, nespresso machine and fridge. An excellent continental style breakfast is self service in the shared kitchen between 8 and 9am. Staff and other buests were feally friendly”

“If you have kids who would like to experience something new, loves farm animals and outdoors, this is the place. We stayed on October 24 on our last day in the south island. We were looking for something new and different and Wacky Stays delivered. It is not a brand new dwelling so please manage your expectations. “4 Adults and 1 child. Only a quick stop over to go whale watching the next morning (very convenient). The host was lovely. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and cosy. We will need to try and come back and enjoy the activities on offer. Recommend +++”

“A fantastic wee spot just moments outside Kaikoura. The wagon is truely sensational to stay in with incredible views over Mt Fyffe. We really enjoyed feeding the animals with our 23 month old son.”
