Regina was the best host we have had over are 15 years of renting on VRBO. Awesome furniture, appliances and a mini split in both the main area and bedroom is a perk that most of the other units do not have. And the view from the lanai is a bucket list view. We left the lanai open with the front door open and there was a cooling breeze all day. At night we used the mini split in the bedroom and were very comfortable. I can't recommend the host and condo enough.

We had a really nice stay here. The location is excellent—oceanfront and within walking distance of downtown Kona. The views are beautiful, and it was great having a dedicated parking spot so close to everything. The AC worked well, which we appreciated, and the kitchen was well stocked and functional. And, I loved the booklet with activities and dining suggestions. We’ve been to the island many times and still found it helpful (The Village Burger is indeed worth a trip!)There were a couple of small housekeeping items at check-in, but the host was responsive and communicative. Overall, a solid place to stay in Kona with a great location.

Kona Penthouse ????We stayed in this unit for one week in December 2025. Not sure how it got the title as a penthouse. I was expecting some upgrades to the unit as I have stayed in other units in these condos.The photo that shows a table that is at a standard level in the picture is what I expected. What we got were high tables and high chairs. Very difficult for older people to climb up into them. Also one photo shows a chair in the living room, there was no chair in the living room.Improvements to be made would be replace the table on the lanai and possibly put some lounging beds out there. The other unit we stayed in had lounging beds. This unit came with bare minimum.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view was incredible with a nice size balcony and the walk to downtown was short. Scott and Regina were attentive and check in was easy. We would definitely stay there again.

Great ocean view location and coffee on the balcony could not be beat. AC worked great. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen. Extras for enjoying the ocean/beach in the deck box. Decor has changed since VRBO photos, and was a bit more vibrant than I expected. Enjoyed our time there with easy walk to town, dining and Ironman activities. Hosts were quick to answer questions!

Wonderful stay! The location is a short walk to many restaurants and shops. We loved spending time on the lanai, watching surfers in the morning and sunsets in the evening. We did experience an issue with the air conditioner, but the owners were responsive and made sure the issue was addressed as soon as possible.

We were amazed and appreciative of the fully stocked kitchen. It had everything needed for our stay; plenty of cups/glasses, coffee cups, plates and utensils. It also contained every spice needed to cook our meals. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions we had concerning our stay.We loved enjoying our meals on the ocean front deck.

The Seashore Oasis is absolutely a wonderful place to stay! The lanai was, of course, our favorite place to gather for coffee in the morning. We loved the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline and rocks so close to this place. In addition, the location was easy for walking into town. All in all, an amazing stay!

A slice of paradise

I can not say enough about our hosts. I realized on the day we were set to arrive that i had made an error on the booking dates. I reached out to Regina and Scott to see if they could accommodate one extra day due to my error (I thought it was unlikely). Regina went out of her way to accommodate us. I was thrilled and so appreciative. Best hosts ever!!! In addition, the condo was just what we needed. The million dollar view and great location to walk to everything on Ali'i Drive was perfect. We also enjoyed the washer and dryer that is located in the unit. It was essential to us being able to pack lighter!!! Thanks again to Regina and Scott. I can't recommend them as hosts enough!

Very nice place

This is a very nice, well appointed condo in a great location! Furniture appears to be new. Quiet, well maintained building with its own nice amenities. Beautiful view of the ocean and surfers. We ate on the deck on numerous occasions because we thought it was the best location in town.Regina and Scott answered all questions quickly and there were zero problems. Thank you both for sharing your beautiful condo.

Tranquility!

We made a last minute decision that staying in a hotel setting was not our style, so for the last two days of our vacation, we searched for a condo in Kailua Kona and found a stunningly lovely, clean and tranquil unit at Kona Reef. We were quite lucky to have found it, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have been renting at another complex for 40 years, and been very happy, but this unit definitely has moved to our top choice for future stays. Regina and Scott were incredibly helpful in helping us, even arranging for an early check in. We were exhausted from a sleepless night at the Volcano House and ready to relax. They mentioned they have been doing some interior decor updates and weren't quite finished, but honestly, we found it beautiful. Everything one needs was there. View is outstanding and lanai time was perfect for relaxing. Thank you Regina and Scott. See you again for sure.

Lovely Kona Reef Condo D36

We spent 6 wonderful nights in Kona at this lovely, well appointed, oceanfront condo. It’s peaceful and within walking distance of Much of Kona town. I used the pool a few days with the key provided and the water was comfortable and clean. The AC in the living room and bedroom works great. The host kindly provided a starter package of coffee and some chocolate covered macadamias. The best feature is the view from the lanai. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets and morning ocean views before heading out to explore the island. There’s a great reference notebook of things to do and recommended restaurants. We especially enjoyed our seafood dinners at Merriman’s in Waimea (splurge and 1 hour drive each way), Umeke’s and Jackie Rey’s, the last 2 a short drive from the condo. Snorkeling at Two Step Beach south of the condo was great! We even saw a Monk Seal resting on the sea floor. The host are caretaker were very responsive and saw to our needs. Highly recommend!

Paradise Found!!

We knew from the minute we stepped inside the condo, that we had found paradise. It was equipped with everything we would need for our stay. We, easily, prepared several dinners in the kitchen and enjoyed eating on the lanai/balcony, watching the sunsets. The bed was soooo comfortable, sleep came easily. Great restaurants were just a short walk away, cute shops were fun to browse, and walking along the Main Street with the ocean right next to us was amazing. The location was perfect. Both the owners, Regina and Scott, and the housekeeper, Linda, were very responsive to all needs. I think one of our favorite things to do was to sit on the lanai, listening to the waves crashing on the rocks right in front of us and watching the the movement of the ebb and flow of the water.
