Host had great communication and responded quickly to any issues that arose. The house was large with many bathrooms and bedrooms and it was great for our needs of a large family. Beautiful views and well located. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. Orange tree in the backyard was lovely. Nice neighborhood great for morning walks.

Hosts were responsive every step of the journey. The location was perfect for us. The layout of the home was great for our 3 generation family. It had so many amenities for us to use. Would come back again !!

We had 3 generations of our family come to the Big Island for 6 days! This home was big enough to accomodate us all which was lovely. We liked the outdoor spaces, the hot tub and pool (tho the pool was always a bit chilly!), the grill, the large laundry space, speedy wifi and cable, and the close location to lots of great restaurants, stores, and beaches. There were some things that could be improved...no ac was acceptable to us when we booked, but during our stay the bedrooms took a long time to cool down--well after bedtime--and you had to have all windows open for them to cool, so not a ton of privacy. There were no completely enclosed larger spaces so the 8 pm quiet hour expectation meant we couldn't really be together and do an activity (play games, large group convos) after 8 without always worrying we were being loud. Some of the surfaces could use a deep clean, especially windows, screens, and tall cabinets. The kitchen had great supplies for cooking overall, but random things were odd--not really enough forks, mostly plastic drink ware, some small appliances were not working. Beach and pool toys were a welcome perk, but they all needed a good clean out. Overall it felt less "high end resort" and more "family cottage", which is fine but the rental price put my midwestern expectations at the resort level. The host was super kind and responsive, so absolutely no complaints there. Overall we had a great time!

Nice home with beautiful views

We had a family vacation and it was a lot of fun. It was. nice to have 4 king beds for adults and two children 8 and 3. The adults that needed to go downstairs were hot without air conditioning and no windows to open for air circulation. The ended up opening the door to the available garage to try and get air to circulate. The only suggestion I have is to install AC in bedrooms to night sleeping.

This house was perfect for our crew. Grandkids ages 10-15. Probably not appropriate for young children due to pool. No AC and the lower level was really stuffy. Upstairs room were fine. That being said this was the PERFECT accommodation for our family

Family vacation

The house was perfect for our family. It provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Hawaii. After spending a day enjoying the island we could rest around the pool and take in beautiful sunsets.

Awesome location and views! Perfect for our multigenerational family group of 9 from ages 7-70. Pool and hot tub got a lot of use. Excellent location for exploring the west side of the island.

The perfect pool

Nine family members, 3 generations stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The house and yard were private and met our different family needs. The 4 bedrooms with baths were just right and the pool with its terrific view of the ocean was perfect for both kids and adults. The house was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen well appointed. We were well cared for from reservation to arrival and through our stay. It was the right choice for us!

Beautiful home for a large group!

My family of 12 rented this beautiful home in Kona. This place is awesome! It has everything you need! The setup is amazing! No issues or problems whatsoever. The location is perfect! The owner was very accommodating and very helpful as well. From the moment we stepped inside this beautiful home we all fell in love with the way how it’s setup. Overall experience is 10 out of 10. Definitely will be renting this place again!

Worked Well for Us

This is a very unique house that worked well for our family group of 3 couples and two kids (11 & 14). It is an older home (1982), has some wrinkles and could use some updating, but is overall a good place for multiple families to have time together and also privacy. The common areas (living room and kitchen) are open to the outside pool area, so it’s important to not leave food out lest you invite unwanted critters in. The bedrooms all open directly to the pool, much like a motel, and each has its own bathroom so they are very private. The master bedroom has a neat shower set-up. The pool is lovely, the view is amazing, and the host is very attentive. Our family enjoyed the stay.

Overall the home is as pictured, well stocked, nice view n pool. Great lay out of home for groups, multiple couples n families. It is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. The home itself was clean, but in need of some simple maintenance. Flickering light bulbs, cleaing cobb webs inside the house that are filled with bugs, cleaning sink drains in bathrooms.(very slow draining). overall its a decent place to stay.

Great Family House

This a a great house for many people to stay at. The set-up of multiply rooms around a common outside area worked well for our multi generational group was perfect. We found the house to be well stocked with almost everything we needed included. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in all the bathrooms a nice plus.The kitchen was maybe the best supplied with dishes,pot and pans, serving dishes ect. of any house we have stayed at. There were plenty of beach towels, beach gear, and pool toys. Having a washer and 2 dyers was a big help to us to limit packing. The house is a little dated, especially the kitchen but we found it fine for our purposes. There were some small issues with plumbing and electrical that drove my plumber and electrician sons crazy but nothing that was unsafe or majorly impacted our stay. One dryer was slow drying and we found the vent was full of sand, we just stopped using that dyer. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again for another large family trip

Overpriced for quality of home

Functionality of home fit our group of 4 couples, but we were all disappointed with the quality of the home based on the price. Some furnishings were drab and need of repair (broken drawers, jagged broken table top, torn cushions, stained bed cover). The windows were filthy. Many non-functioning lights. Broken window shade. Why does a house advertising a stay for 12 not have a single large fry pan? Not a single sharp knife but we did find a knife sharpener which helped. Advertised a beautiful waterfall feature in the pool but told it hasn't worked in 2 years! Each bedroom surrounding the pool area had a king bed and attached private bathroom which is why we chose this house, but for the price, we expected it to be better kept up.

Perfect family getaway

We already thought we would enjoy the house from the listing, but we were blown away by the accommodations once we arrived. It is hard to know where to start....great kitchen, nice rooms, fabulous view and wonderful pool. Having the view with our morning coffee and champagne as the sun set were icing on the cake. Location is great as it is close to shopping, etc., but not too close as it is in a very quiet neighborhood. We had all age groups - from 7 months to 70+. It was great to all be together in this wonderful house. We had no issues and all amenities were as noted. Owner was very helpful and available if we needed anything or had questions.
