    Say aloha to your Big Island vacation rental! Hale Kunu is nestled in the oceanfront condo complex White Sands Village, located in the gorgeous town of Kailua-Kona. Maximum occupancy strictly enforced in accordance with local ordinances.



    The Space:

    Guests will find themselves in the perfect area for exploring the island with a variety of activities nearby. Magic Sands Beach Park is simply a stroll across the street, Keolonahihi State Historical Park is a quick drive up the road, and downtown Kailua is a short and scenic drive up the coast with dining and shopping options. Onsite, enjoy the resort’s beautiful pool and hot tub area with lush landscaping and partial ocean views, plus a shared game room and grill area.



    We provide 2 beach chairs and 1 cooler for guest use. Beach towels are available for guests.



    Hale Kunu is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo, perfect for a small family or group of friends. This standout unit features a private lanai with peaceful views of the resort pool and even a peek of the blue ocean beyond. The lanai is fully furnished as an outdoor living space with comfortable seating, outdoor dining, and overhead fan.



    Inside, visitors are greeted into an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The updated kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and ample counter space for convenient and delicious meals at home. Choose from casual dining at the kitchen counter or a more formal meal at the dining table set for 6. Cozy couches offer a respite from the sun where you can kick back with a good movie or favorite show on the smart tv.



    This home sleeps 6 guests between 2 private bedrooms and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.



    Bedroom #1 is the primary suite with a king size bed, tv equipped for Live TV and streaming, balcony access, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.



    Bedroom #2 has 2 twin size beds.



    THINGS TO NOTE:

    The home has an additional bathroom with walk-in shower.

    1 parking space is provided.

    Washer and dryer in unit.

    The air conditioning system is programmed to maintain a minimum temperature of 75°F.

    Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, on the premises, and in any nearby common areas. Violations will result in an automatic $500 fine, plus any additional costs for carpet and upholstery cleaning or other damages caused.

    TV is equipped for Live TV and streaming



    Attention: For safety and cleanliness, infants who are not potty trained are not permitted in the pool. Please use the designated kiddie pool for children who are not potty trained.

    Please note: Any accidents in the pool will result in a closure of 5-7 days for cleaning and a $2,500 fine. Diapers, including swim diapers, do not prevent contamination from occurring.

    Set amidst a backdrop of lush tropical landscapes, Hale Kunu is your oasis for relaxation and rest. But when you’re ready to get out and explore, you’re minutes away from the very attractions that draw visitors to the island. Kealakekua Bay is one of the best snorkeling spots in the entire state of Hawaii due to its spectacular coral reefs. Keauhou Bay has some of the best snorkeling on the planet, with the night dives among Manta Rays being an experience you’ll never forget. Explore Hawaiian history when visiting the nearby petroglyphs, ancient rock carvings dating all the way back to the 16th century.



    When in Hawaii, you must of course make the most of the many beaches, hikes, and water activities available. Make sure you also dive into the unique culture of Kona, where coffee shops source beans straight from Kona coffee farms, Big Wave Golden Ale is brewed fresh at the Kona Brewpub, and local farmers markets are teeming with artisan goods and just-harvested produce.

This is one of the nicest VRBOs I’ve stayed in. It felt like home. Everything was extremely well kept and the layout was extremely functional for our family of 4. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the lanai, days at the pool, and had an amazing time all round.

Outstanding place to stay! The kitchen was extremely well stocked with small appliances that would be great for making meals during a longer stay. Everything was in great working order. Hard to beat having the beach and ocean just across the street. The only downside was the extra effort necessary to complete the registration process. They requires an extra series of documentation that comes not from VRBO which seems more like spam.

Very comfortable, well stocked and maintained property. Lovely layout, beautiful bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, great amenities like beach chairs, a cooler, etc. Supplied with papertowels, toilet paper, soaps in kitchen and bathroom, hair dryers. Everything you need. This was a great unit, we would definitely rent again.

Amazing location!!! Beach across the street is perfect for families, catching waves and much more. The coolers, beach chairs and snorkel equip was a huge plus. Loved this place.

Great location across from the beach

This condo offered many amenities including beach chairs, an umbrella, and a boogie ward. The beach was right across the street. The kitchen was well stocked. It was a short drive to many restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.

Close to the beach!

Property was clean, check in was easy, parking was easy, and house was pretty well equipped for our stay! Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, noodles for the pool, beach towels and kitchen was also pretty well equipped. The apartment is on the 3rd floor but there’s an elevator to make bringing stuff up and down pretty easy! The beach is so close and beautiful- we even spotted whales early in the morning!!!

Wonderful Place for a week in Kona

My family of six had a fantastic vacation here! Clean, well stocked, great location. Really appreciated having tennis and pickleball equipment and the essentials for a day at the beach: cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a couple lifejackets. The beach across the street wasn't sandy while we were there unfortunately but we knew that was a possibility. Walked over there every night for the beautiful sunsets though! We played in the pool and hot tub a bunch but something to keep in mind: the pool gets deep pretty quickly so not very little kid friendly. Would definitely recommend this condo!

This was a great stay! Our condo was nicely done and very clean. It was also nice and quiet. We never heard neighbors beside us. You could hear kids playing at the pool in the evening, but it didn't bother us. Pool closes at ten.We enjoyed playing pickleball and going to the beach across the street. We went to to many beaches, and the one across the street was our favorite. Note that it can have some pretty big waves. There were tons of kids playing, but if you have a young, inexperienced swimmer, take caution. The house had a fully stocked kitchen. We were able to save a lot of money cooking at home. Obviously everything is really expensive in Hawaii, so that was nice to have a kitchen. Note that they provide coffee for one-two days, so make sure to grab some at the store if you are staying longer. There is a restaurant across the street, which is convenient, especially if you get in on an evening flight. On Tuesdays, they have a walk up window with a Taco Tuesday deal. Take advantage of that!I like that this place was a little further up the road from the heart of Kona. There is a lot of traffic on the main road, so this was nice to be further away, but we could drive downtown in just a few minutes. I think there's also a bus option, but we did not take it. A lot of places in Kona are paid parking, so this one was awesome that it had its own parking space included with the price. I would definitely recommend this condo and we would stay again.
