I’m not sure why there are only 7 reviews for a property that was purchased by the current owners in the 70’s, but I do see that most of those 7 people really love this condo. Our experience was different. It is comfortable, it is right on the ocean and the view is wonderful, every night a sunset that is incredible. The unit however is in need of updates and maintenance. The staff is only on site between 10am and 4pm, which is likely when most people are away from the complex enjoying themselves. Our experience with communicating with Kelly was great, but there were quite a few things that needed attention and we didn’t want maintenance in our unit more than the the first time to make the tv and WiFi work, so we reported the problems and fixed some ourselves and asked them to attend to those things after we left. The oven doesn’t work properly, the refrigerator leaked the whole time we were there, a door wouldn’t shut, another came off it’s rail, a sink didn’t drain, etc. the kitchen has old appliances and cabinetry, showing it’s wear with dings and stains and rust. The pool is situated between 2 tall buildings, so the possibility of sun is minimal; it feels like an indoor pool. The garbage enclosure can be smelled for quite some distance. So our opinion is for the price we paid (the nightly cost is not bad, but you add the VRBO/Vacasa charges and it comes close to double what the nightly cost is) the value is definitely not there. We stayed a little north on Alii our first week and the value for what we paid was no comparison. So depending on what you want and what you’re willing to pay, this may or may not be the place for you.
