A magical place

We’ve stayed at Kona Isle many times since we started making our annual trip to Hawaii. The ocean front location and wonderful shady beach area is restful and rejuvenating. Kona Coast Vacations is a great property manager. They are very responsive and accommodating. We’ll be back!

Our stay was very nice. A few suggestions - The shower head and 1/2 shower door was different. The floors were always wet and difficult to get a 'good' shower. Strange not to have a bathroom fan. Additional TV Instructions, other than local TV, would have been helpful. Washer/Dryer instructions would have been helpful. Strange that it would take 3 hours to do one load. Not sure about the hole behind the washer/dryer, but we did end up with one cockroach. Instructions for the dishwasher would have also been helpful. We handwashed everything and never needed the dishwasher. It was at your request to run it. The homeless encampment was a bit uncomfortable at first but we learned to deal with it. Very disappointed that there was not a recycling location on the premises. ALL in all D1 was wonderful and we would rent it again.

Great ground floor unit

Great ground floor, corner unit facing the water. Walk right out to the shore line, tables and chairs, BBQ grills. Kitchen has everything you need as far as pots, pans and utensils, coffee maker and Keurig.

Nice small condo

The condo is small but perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable and the property management company was very good with communication. The location is great about a mile down the road from all the shops etc in Kona. At times parking in Kona can be difficult. Only minor drawback was there's only AC in the living room so without using a fan, it's hard to get the bedroom as cool. There was a minor issue with the washer dryer but again the management company took care of everything.

Perfect quiet corner of paradise!

We stayed in this unit for two weeks and we're sorry to leave. It is a well appointed updated corner unit. Very quiet! We appreciated the king size bed, air-conditioning and the beach accessories. We will definitely book here again!

Here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Great quiet location right on the water with lots of well kept amenities and short walk into town. Very comfortable bed to top it off!

Repair interruptions half of our stay.

I get it, equipment breaks down. Yet, the AC went out 3 days into our 11 day stay & repair parts were unavailable for the rest of our stay. Portable AC installed, which was cumbersome & noisy, which masked the sound of the ocean waves. We knew the dishwasher needed to be replaced - which was no problem. The new dishwasher arrived 1/2 into our stay & was installed at a time that we asked for private time. Coordinating unit repairs was not in our Hawaii vacation plans. Management provided slight compensation. Yet, we would have preferred to have NO complications at the agreed rate price. Nice to wake to the ocean view. Yet, at this time of the year (April 5-15) we could not see sunset from the unit’s location. This is a ground end unit with bushes next to it & was not able to sit on the lani without getting misquote bites. The management was quick to respond to our pre-arrival questions & our endless message repair communications, while in the unit. We would consider contacting this management company again for rental properties, including this complex, but, not in this unit.

Great property

Enjoyed our stay so much. The unit is located on the corner so it felt private and quiet. The condo is beautifully decorated and clean. Assigned parking was a definite plus. Unfortunately dishwasher wasn’t working so hand washing was it during our stay. The only inconvenience was the 5:30 am sprinklers that would wake us up so that was not something we expected. Morning whale views were soo lovely and we even saw spinner dolphins . Kitchen was equipped with all you need.

Great Unit at this Condo

This is one of the better placed units on the property. It is oceanfront just in front of the BBQ area. These units are slightly old but this one (C1) has been renovated. The only issue is the dishwasher which broke on the first load. A serviceperson came out quickly to fix it but it broke again after the fix. The serviceperson mentioned that the owner had planned to replace it so it looks like it's a known issue. The fold-out bed was pretty uncomfortable and our son ended up just sleeping on it in couch mode. You can walk to town in about 30 minutes.

Perfect spot to enjoy the Big Island.

This property is perfectly situated to enjoy all the Big Island has to offer! Activities, restaurants and shopping all available within a short drive. We loved being able to sit and watch the ocean waves behind the property. Would definitely stay here again.

The most beautiful and relaxing experience. You can hear the waves at night and it’s such a job having the ocean just steps away. I could have moved right in. Well stocked and loved having the washer and dryer! Will stay again!

Great location and the one item that was undersold was the Sandy beach on the property which was a 50 yard walk from our patio. Amazing view of sunsets and so relaxing!
