Hompton by the Beach Penang
The rooms are basic and noisy, but the staff is very kind and willing to help. The bar in front of the beach is really nice, beautifull sunsets, and in front of the hotel there is a small night food market perfect to taste local food.

The Landmark by Katana
It’s a fairly good location but unfortunately the place is really run down. It’s in desperate need of basic repairs, a coat of paint and some decent bedding. WiFi is so poor that some days it’s non existent.
