Family Vacation

Perfect spot for family with multiple teens. Everyone has their own space and bathroom, and a wonderful view from the patio deck. Easy access to Mauna Kea hotel/beach, Waimea, and Waikoloa. We will be back.

Great family stay with A+ sunsets

Very clean, well equipped home was great for our family. The sunsets are stunning from the lanai and the doors open all the way for an indoor/outdoor experience. Property managers were very responsive. Highly recommend.

Very nice property and stay for family

A well appointed 3-BR villa managed by a high quality property manager. Access to resort properties and amenities (beach and beach bar and fitness center) for a relatively inconsequential daily fee. Staff at the MK Resort is fabulous, the quality of the guests, in the main, has diminished over the years, sadly. You’ll see lemon wedges and straws on the beach and you’ve got to wake up before sunrise to “save” beach chairs. We’re it not for the wonderful staff at the MK on the most beautiful beach in Hawaii, we would consider alternative resorts.

Not great

-AC broke on our 3rd night and did not get repaired, we booked 7 nights. There was a major leak and we came home to a flooded living room. -They did provide a unit next store for us to stay in but then were upset they had to clean it after we were there for 5 days. We had kids and an infant that was sweating all night due to no air. -We were told we used too many towels for the 7 days -We were told we used too much soap for the 7 days -We were told we used the stove and BBQ too much (we used the BBQ 1 night and the stove minimally in the mornings) -They were upset there were dishes in the dishwasher however it stated to load the dishwasher before leaving -They were upset that there were fingerprints on the glass slider -They were upset there was some sand in the bathtub after kids who were at the beach all day used. I was disappointed that we were made to feel like we did something wrong when the AC not working/having to move units was a large inconvenience for a family vacation. I had to constantly call or text to get updates. They made us feel that we should be grateful they even provided some options for not having AC when it should be a given that this would be remedied in some way. I would not recommend simply due to the poor handling of this situation.

Thanksgiving stay

Our family (two adults, two kids 15, 12) spent the Thanksgiving holiday at this wonderful property. Great view from the second floor home. We spent lots of time watching the sunset at the terrace. Property is in excellent shape, very well maintained. Great toilets with state of the are Japanese equipment. We signed and used most of the Mauna Kea amenities, our kids are active tennis players. Can highly recomment Kai, great communication and hospitality.

Residences at the Mauna Kea

We love the privacy and quietness of the Residences of the Mauna Kea. The view is unobstructed and so beautiful. The home was so well-appointed and comfortable in every way. We enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Hawaii Heaven

This beautifully decorated Mauna Kea residence was the perfect home for our family’s vacation. The 3 bedroom/3bathroom home has every amenity including Wolfe/Subzero appliances and an outdoor grill. We enjoyed utilizing the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Beach resorts and watching beautiful sunsets from the home’s lanai. Communication with the property manager and the check in process were effortless. Absolute heaven!

Beautiful Home in Perfect Location

The entire process of booking and enjoying this home was seamless and our family enjoyed an amazing vacation. The home is perfect for all to spread out in very comfortable bedrooms, but also enjoy long evenings together watching the sunset and making memories. The location is the best on the island. We loved both beaches at Mauna Kea and Westin and all the area activities. Highly recommend renting this home. The host team was fantastic.
