Unfortunately I won’t stay at this motel again, there was nothing wrong with the room as a matter of fact I was very happy with it.
When we arrived the desk person said we had paid for a higher rated room than had been allocated so they swapped the room. I said we would be leaving early and asked if there was a key box. There was. Tired after a long day of work and travelling we were in bed early, I got hot and decided rather than put on the aircon I’d move to the single bed.
The following evening I received a message from Expedia asking me to call the motel, I expected that I may have left an item in the room.
The reception I received on calling was a very irate person asking where the room key was, I explained I’d put it in the key box. He kept arguing saying it wasn’t there… I said I definitely popped it in the key box, after sometime he found the key in the key box. You would expect a sorry all good but nope, he then had a go at me for using the extra bed!! Very angry that it cost $15 in cleaning fees. I asked what he would like me to do and offered to pay the extra amount. But no he just wanted to stay angry. Needless to say, I wouldn’t feel welcome at this motel again. So lovely room or not, I’ll be looking at a different motel.
