Beautifully decorated property. Very relaxing atmosphere and the room was terrific. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the service was very good too! One of our favourite stays on this trip.

The position of the hotel is perfect, 2 min away from the center. However that is where our positive experience ended. We got the "apartment" not the "basic" rooms. As a result we where taken nicely to a adjected building via the trash corridor with the nice freezer that looked just like one of those you keep bodies in, in horror movies. The rest of the hallway, was doggy and odd. The floor above us was a bird toilet. Inside it was spacious but even when things was new it was bad. The shower with black mold at the bottom with some new silicone put on top. They should mention that some rooms are in a different class than the 4 stars on the front door. I give it 4 poops out of 5.

- The apartment was ok, but it had a really weird smell. - We were told there would be free parking and they’ll tell us where once we arrive, unfortunately the lady at the desk then didn’t really know where we could park, because it was Friday and her English wasn’t very proficient. She did suggest us some free parking in the city though and we also managed to get the last free parking spot. - We thought the hotel pool would be included when booking a room with them (which is usually the case), but it costs an additional 15€ a day. - Overall it was ok, but not really worth the money.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren. Wir wurden bei Ankunft im Nebengebäude auf der 3. Etage untergebracht. Vom Nachtportier wurden wir mit einer Taschenlampe zu unserem Zimmer geleitet weil in Treppenhaus kein Licht funktionierte. Am anderen Morgen, konnten wir gegen Aufpreis im Hauptgebäude ein Zimmer beziehen.So hatten wir es uns nicht vorgestellt.

Apartments are not part of the hotel

This review is only for the apartments the hotel rents, we didn't see the regular rooms. The listing does not make it clear that the apartments are in another building that has NO elevator. We were on the 4th floor with narrow, winding stairways. We are in our 60s on a trip 5 months long so we each have one large suitcase and I only book places that include an elevator in the listing. The receptionist led us to our apartment, and grabbed a maintenance man along the way to carry my bag. It was a well-equipped basic apartment, it even had a crib and high-chair. The hotel is rated as a 4* (and it does have an elevator as promised) but the apartments are probably a 3*, and the price was very reasonable. It was clean and in decent condition but modest. Full-size fridge. Nice washer. Great location. Front desk staff tried to make me pay until I showed the confirmation stating that it was prepaid.

Great.

Hotel Aqua Marina was a charming, grand old european hotel with lots of attention to detail, centrally located, and with all the spa amenities one would expect. The room and common areas were very clean, and the cleaning service even came in on the morning of our check out to tidy up. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

In dieser Stadt konnte man nichts !!! anfangen ohne Negativattest...aber der einzige Testladen hatte ab 13 Uhr geschlossen...also blieb nur die Heimreise ...Touristen Information schickte uns noch zum geschlossenen Test Center...

Enjoyable stay

Great location for exploring Karlovy Vary, friendly staff for check in and check out. Room was well maintained and well equipped with very comfortable bed. Free use of pool, sauna and steam room was an added bonus especially when we had the place to ourselves! Breakfast was good and included in price.

Schönes Hotel mit kleinen Serviceschwierigkeiten

Ein zauberhaftes Hotel in bester Lage und grosszügigen Zimmern. Das Spa ist relativ klein, aber der Pool ist schön und einladend. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und schmackhaft. Allein der Service lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig, es wird kaum englisch gesprochen und sowohl im Spa als auch in der Hotelbar wurde gerne 30min vor der tatsächlichen Schliesszeit zugemacht. Dennoch ein empfehlenswertes Hotel.

Πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο, καλές παροχές σε καταπληκτική τοποθεσία, το πρωινό θέλει λίγο βελτίωση. Η πρόσβαση με αυτοκίνητο δεν είναι πολύ εύκολη. Μπορείς να φτάσεις στο ξενοδοχείο για αποβίβαση/επιβίβαση αλλά η στάθμευση του οχήματος δεν είναι δυνατή κοντά.

Overall worth it, even with communication issues

Trip was great- Karlovy Vary is such a nice little town! We just went to get away for a couple of days on a relaxing vacation. The man who checked us into the hotel didn't speak English or German, only Russian. He was... weird. He yelled at my husband for trying to help fill out the info form, which was in English, and he didn't understand the English alphabet so basically all of our info that he couldn't copy off the passports was wrong. Like, REALLY wrong. Our zip code ended up being like 91010105. not even close! It was actually really hard not to laugh. Otherwise, our stay was great. The bed was comfortable, we had a bathtub, the pool was nice. There is only one small sauna and one small steam room, but it was all very clean and nice. The only bad thing was that parking was not covered, and you have to park a few blocks away. Overall, since my dog was allowed to stay with us, I would stay again. Unless, of course, I could find another place with a pool and sauna that is close to the center and allows dogs!

Wir haben am Wochenende das Hotel in Aqua Marina besucht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Der Check In hätte etwas freundlicher sein können. Mit unserem Appartement das wir gebucht haben waren wir sehr zufrieden. Sauber und freundlich eingerichtet mit Blick auf die Thermalquellen. Der Weg dorthin war leider weniger schön. Auch wenn man den Wellnessbereich nutzt war dieser Weg etwas beschwerlich. Der Wellnessbereich selbst ist nichts spektakuläres . Ein Becken und eine Mini-Sauna. Wobei das für Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut ausreichend ist. Ein paar Liegemöglichkeiten wären noch gut gewesen. Das haben wir sehr vermisst, den mit 2 Liegestühlen ist das doch etwas wenig. Wir haben das Hotel nur mit Frühstück gebucht, hier waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Cleanand comfortable

Room and bathroom is very clean and spacey. Bed is comfortable and decoration is nice. Bathroom is modern. Breakfast needs some improvement. Thermal pool is a little cold. There is only one waterjet for massage. I am not evenbsure if it is a thermal pool. Location is good. You can go everywhere by walking.

Ruhiges, komfortables Hotel in der Fußgängerzone

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Hotel inmitten der Fußgängerzone von Karlsbad. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und sprechen deutsch und englisch. Am Komfort und der Sauberkeit lässt sich nichts aussetzen. Einzig das Frühstücksbuffet ist noch ausbaufähig aber durchaus ausreichend. Sämtliche sehenswerten Ziele sind vom Hotel aus zu Fuß in ca. 30 Minuten zu erreichen. Parkplätze stehen auf Anfrage zur Verfügung (sind auch nötig).

Old hotel, central location, ancient amenities

I was quite disappointed with our stay. Even though the staff were very friendly and helped with most requests, this hotel seems to have appeared out of some communist-era flim. Old heavy carpets, a mouldy smelling "spa" (really just a dark pool and a tiny sauna+hamam), no natural light or ventilation. I booked a room with a "city view", but we were given the "city-facing" room on the top flood, which happened to be an attic, so our tiny window was more like a skylight than a "city-facing window". I was shocked that we didn't even have a kettle in our room to make some tea, given this is supposedly a 4-star hotel. To be fair, the room was very clean, the breakfast decent, and the staff very friendly. For the location, it's great. For the quality of accommodation and amenities, this would be around 2 stars in my rating system.
