  • Come enjoy the peaceful waterfront and relax in this cozy, clean lakeside log cabin in the Kootenays. Steps from beautiful Kootenay Lake, the cabin provides easy access for boating, paddle boarding, kayaking & fishing. Recently updated with new kitchen appliances, flooring and air conditioning. Enjoy the picnic table, propane BBQ and steps to the lakeshore.

    Located 5 km south of Kaslo and 15 km north of Ainsworth Hot Springs.
    Cabin is available for Year Round bookings.

    3 nights minimum stay, non-smokers only please.

Cozy Cabin

Excellent little cabin with a great view. Located ideally to go explore in all directions. Kaslo a few kms away in one direction and Ainsworth a few away the other direction. We really enjoyed our stay

Kootney visit

We totally enjoyed our stay here. Couldn't have asked for a better location and the morning view is breathtaking. Would definitely stay again. The host is so warm and welcoming.

We Loved This Cozy Cabin

We had a great 4 nights staying at this cozy little cabin. After we were greeted by our host, we settled into the cabin, immediately noticing how clean and welcoming it was. The location is wonderful, right on the lake, as well as the accessibility to it, right off the main road. Our only challenge was the spotty wifi, but it didn't bother us too much. We highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Place

We just loved it. Our host was lovely and nature was spectacular. We will definitely return if we can. Note that sleeping quarters are in a loft up a steep staircase and beds are low to the ground. The fresh lake air coming in the window made for a restful night.

Amazing reset

The area is amazing and as Brene Brown has said about her lake she goes to, Kootenay Lake is our magic lake. My daughter and I had such a beautiful stay and the cabin was so cozy and everything we possibly needed was there! Thank you so much Janet! We will be back, Shannon and Louisa

Very cute cabin

Loved our stay here. Close to the water so we could kayak everyday, and a short drive to town to get groceries. Full kitchen and BBQ, and a cozy living room. Was lovely to sit outside enjoying the view and the sound of the splashing water. Would recommend!

Third time and still a charm

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed Janet’s cabin, great for our family of 3. As always Janet was a great host and the cabin had everything we needed and then some. Being right on the shore and having immediate access to the lake can’t be beat. We’ll be back for a 4th time for sure.

Great location, nice beach area with fire pit. You might want to bring an axe for kindling. The upstairs loft has steep stairs and a low ceiling. If you're tall or have mobility issues you'll find it a bit challenging. Hammocks would make a great addition. Overall it's a cool, little cabin on Kootenay Lake.
