  • Fabulous waterfront cottage, large four-season home/cottage situated only 1½ hours from GTA on Mitchell lake & link with Balsam Lake without a lock. it has a breathtaking sunset Lakeview & a great snow view in the winter &colorful leaf in Autumn. in the winter right skate at lake, our private skate field by our cottage backyard.
    This is a large Spacious, Great Lake View,3 bedrooms +2rm & 3 washrm. cottage all in one level and great for all ages family and Friends. It has 7 beds( two queens, three doubles, two sofa beds with three washrooms and 2 refrigerators 1 freezer, and central AC ) all the necessities to comfortably host 6 adults. Ideal for extended families or larger groups. free to use 5 non-power boats: 1 paddle boat, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and a swing&slide set for kids to play too. all linen included and changes on each booked trip, fresh and nice clean through Hi-temp Dryer. A UV air disinfection work added into each room. it provides unlimited Free WiFi. smooth for watching Youtube and Netflix as well as online meetings.
    Large 430 ft deep level lot, great privacy and good for lots of outside activities, evening by the fire pit, games, etc. Includes dock, fire pit, outdoor furniture, BBQ, and parking up to 8 vehicles on a long driveway with a outside Camera watching it
    1 large fully equipped Kitchen with dishwasher. Entertainment Centre, Sound System, Fireplace. large dock for boats, walk to convenience stores and restaurants. Forced Air Furnace and AC, deep drilled well water. Nearby library, Restaurants, LCBO, etc. Really Nice Place for Families and Friends to get together and have some Fun on any Special Occasions. We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The host was welcoming, responsive and made sure we had everything we needed! The cottage was very clean and well- maintained , which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. It was also a family-friendly with plenty of space!!!! And a safe, enjoyable environment. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives!and would happy to stay here again next year!!!!

We had the most relaxing and amazing weekend, there was no need to explore local areas as the property itself felt like an amazing resort. We will be back here next year for sure.

Great stay

Richard’s property was perfect for a cottage getaway with friends. We had a great time and the place was well sized for the 9 of us. We would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Excellent stay

Very nice location that’s suitable for families or friends! The canoes and kayaks were an excellent addition, and exploring the lake was a fun way to spend the days we were there.

Out To Lunch Bunch

Great place to get away and unwind. Great location and close enough to Fenelon Falls and Lyndsay for shopping. Beautiful waterfront and enough trees for shade. Enough room to sleep 9 adventures seniors.

Fantastic weekend

The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exactly how it shows in the pictures. The property was well maintained and was extremely clean when we arrived. The host was fantastic and cared to any question or concern that i had prior to our stay and for the whole weekend he were there incase I needed him. Overall 10/10 stay and we look forward to going back in the future!

Great cottage. Really enjoyed ourselves.

We had a group of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids) stay here and we had a great weekend. There were more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us to be comfortable, and the open concept main area was spacious. The property is very large with a gorgeous walkout and deck towards the lake. We loved the fire pit close to the lake! We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to hopefully renting this cottage again.

Large property with beautiful deck for sitting by the water. Loved the sunset views! Family friendly cottage with great floor plan with everything on one level. Covered table area outside great for shade during the day and playing cards at night. Water was clear but weedy for swimming out past dock. We enjoyed fishing in the canoe and kayaks. Our family had a fun week enjoying the sunshine and relaxing by the water.

Family Birthday

This cottage was all that we expected and a bit more. The listing is very accurate. The owner was quick to respond to our texts when we had questions. We were a group of 7 adults and 3 children (4 generations) and it met all of our needs. We would love to return.

Summer 2022

The property was wonderful. Lots of room inside with 5 bedrooms. Park, bikes, canoe, kayaks, paddleboat....perfect. Only downside was we did not swim in the lake as it was extremely swampy. Beach iwith a great Park in Fenlon Falls about 20 min drive away.

Excellent location and a comfortable cottage.

Two families with adult kids shared the cottage over Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed it immensely. The cottage was close to hiking trails and trail riding by horseback . The kayaks, bicycles and firepit were well used. The host responded to questions quickly. Highly recommend.

Kirkfield cottage by the river

We had a great stay in the cottage. Richard was very helpful to walk us through the details and was responsive throughout. We really liked the place, it was cozy, clean - the outside propane fireplace was really good place to hangout. We were able to do some light fireworks beside the water area on new year's eve. Would very much like to explore this place again in summer time to use the kayaks, boats and bicycles provided with the cottage.

weekend away

Less private then we anticipated, but great time. Nice docks chairs, decks to hang out. Kayaks were great. paddle boat wasn't working to the disappointment of some of our group. Bicycles were nice to have as well.
