I am having a nightmare time with the billing. I tried talking with The Royal Kelowna but their response is unsatisfactory. First, there are three charges on my credit card between April 22 and April 26: $712.34, $277.37 and $714.27. I am going to dispute all of these charges and hope that The Royal Kelowna will submit one charge for what I owe. When I spoke with the representative, he told me that my room charge went up and day 2 and up again on day 3 -- he said I had been notified, but that never happened. This is a lovely, lovely facility but the billing is a nightmare.

We do apologies that the billing was a bit confusing and that at the time you spoke with us we were not able to provide a satisfactory response. Your nightly rates did change slightly each night. Theses charges were agreed on when your originally booking. We were simply trying to walk you through those charges. The initial hold of 712.34 was placed on your card at check-in; this is systems way of ensuring that the total amount of the booking is available on your credit card. Then the second hold of 277.37 was for the incidentals charge and for the fob deposit to park your car. Both theses holds are released at check-out assuming that the fob has been returned and no damage done to the suite. Finally the last charge of 714.27 was the actual charge for your last 2 nights including parking. The average credit card processing time is 5 to 10 business days at which time any existing holds will be released. Please reach out to us should that not happen. It’s a quiet area with excellent view. The room we booked has 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. It’s grate for family. Front desk is friendly and professional. It’s our second time here.

Honestly i thought i was going to have to stay elsewhere when my reservation was cancelled in error. But The Royal more than made up for it quite literally Royally. Between the 5* accommodations and the excellent customer service, I can’t imagine staying at any other resort . The parking is convoluted and difficult to find, but once you’re there it’s absolutely breathtaking ng. Don’t even look at the price . Book it. It’s worth it . Shout out to Expedia for their role in helping me navigate the mistaken cancellation.

Overall we really enjoyed the property. Great amenities and great location. However, the front reception is a bit unusual for a hotel. It is very cold feeling and the people at the desk would barely acknowledge you upon arrival or leaving. I had to say hello to them or they would have just ignored us. We were there for 5 nights and everyone was the same. We like everything else about the property.

It was a bit annoying not to have an easy direct link from parking to hotel.

It is unfortunate that our parkade is not connect to the building; this is why we recommend bringing your luggage to the parkade then parking. That way it makes it a little less tedious.
