Absolutely loved our stay at the Cherokee Cabin near Cave Run Lake! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cozy, rustic charm of the cabin. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and nature, with all the amenities you could ask for, yet still feels like a peaceful getaway.The cabin was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to cook meals. The hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. If you’re looking for a getaway that offers a tranquil setting with plenty of outdoor activities, Cherokee Cabin is the place to be. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to recharge and enjoy nature!

My stay was fantastic. The property was well stocked with essentials and the view is amazing. Due to recent rain and the levels maintained by USACE, the lake water was at a hight where it was easily seen from the balconies and other parts of the property. Being able to see the water will vary by season and recent weather.The property was clean, albeit the decor was a bit cluttered and there wasn't a lot of space to keep your personal items during the stay without moving things around a bit. I also would have liked there to be shades on the upstairs windows, but I just opened the closet doors and that sufficed. I felt very safe and wasn't bothered at all by animals or the neighbors. There are some other houses nearby, but are about 200 yards down a steep hill.The road up to the cabin is very steep and gravel. Definitely come prepared for that if there is a chance of snow or rain.AC was great and the shower, while tiny, had solid water temperature.Overall a fantastic stay and I hope to be back!

Cherokee Cabin was the perfect place to come back to after a long day on the DBBB. The view was amazing and we would love to come back and see it in the Fall and Winter!

The property is beautifully tucked away in the trees. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Had all nessesary amenities and plenty of cookware. The views were awesome. I give it 5 Stars!

June 22-25

Really appreciated the convenience the cleanliness and all the amenities. Love the Lakeview and the cliffs from the front of the A-frame. It was so hot while we were there, but the cabin was a welcome cooling place coming off the lake. We had no issues and had great communication With the host. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Great experience! Highly recomend!

Our family stayed here over a weekend. The kids loved it! My husband and I had one room and our 3 teens each had their own bed. The kids loved making smores and roasting hotdogs at the fire pit. My husband loved how peaceful it is and I loved the views of the lake from the balconies. The cabin was clean, cozy, and inviting, and the host left thoughtful touches. (My kids were pretty excited about the Ale 8s). We will definitely be back.

Sitting on the porches looking at the view is so relaxing! Plus while you enjoy the view eagles come and fly around the tree tops and its really a site to see.

Exceeded our expectations!!!

This place was incredible! Pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and it was perfect. We love the area, the privacy of the cabin and the amenities were top notch! This is the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed at and we would definitely stay here again.Would love to come back in the Fall!

Great way to bring in the New Year!!!

Place was just as described & even better. The washer & dryer was a definite plus. Walked on paths by the cabin. I just can’t say enough about the hosts. They definitely go above & beyond to make sure you have everything you need. I have been to quite a few cabins & none had things like this one did. It was supplied with everything from laundry detergent to syrup for your pancakes. Absolutely loved it!!! Thank you again for everything!!!

Mountain cabin getaway

This place is so cute! Very cottagey and comfortable. It's clear the owners take a lot of pride and care in the upkeep. Everything seemed fresh and spotless when we walked in, and everything we needed was at hand right where we'd expect to find it. Chairs were comfortable, beds were comfy with excellent quality sheets that were soft and cool, not hot and scratchy. The numerous decks and balconies had some wasps around in the afternoon heat, but in the evening and when the weather cooled they went to sleep or flew away wherever it is they go and were no longer a bother. I imagine if you're considering a cabin in the woods, you can probably cope with nature. (No spiders to be seen tho, which I was really happy about!) Everything I forgot to bring was already there when I looked. The hosts were nice and had great communication. I would definitely stay again.and had great communication

It was just ok

The neighbors dogs were the worst part of the stay I would say. The two dogs kept coming up to the cabin, I guess it was because we have two miniature dachshunds but I was afraid to let the dogs out or the children out because I never knew where the neighbors dogs were. If you’re an older person, you’d never be able to stay here because of the stairs, they go straight up and one of my dogs took a tumble straight down. The shower needs one of those hand held shower heads for younger children because it’s very small and it’s hard to get them showered without getting water everywhere including all over yourself. The couch is broken down in the middle back and should be replaced. That being said, the view is great and it was super clean! I enjoyed the fire pit area as well as the hiking trail once we figured out where it was. There was water and ale-8 in the fridge when we arrived so that was a nice touch!

Weekend getaway
