The pros: we loved having a unit that walked right out to the pool and was a short walking distance to the marina where our boat was, and the pickelball/tennis courts. Everything is a lot closer than it looks on the map. Loved having the option to bring our boat but there was no boat ramp or trailer parking so we had to figure that out separately. The lagoon pool area is so nice but with very strict rules. No coolers, no bluetooth speakers, etc. Security guards round frequently and heavily enforce the rules and they are NOT nice about it. Cons: the check in window is ONE HOUR ONLY. this is ridiculous as key largos is almost a 2 hour drive from any airport. its not close to anything. the property management company does communicate with you but they are SUPER STRICT about who is coming and going and you have to give all that info up front. Last, trying to communicate with the marina to secure our boat slip was a total nightmare. I called and left vm after vm after vm, sent emails and never got a response. I had to call the security guard and ask them to walk over to the marina just to get a phone call returned to reserve a slip. We paid ALOT for this place, and the unit itself (#409) was very clean and nice but it felt like a huge headache just to get everything arranged and follow all the stupid rules. We are adults. We can enjoy ourselves responsibly without needing to be babysat. I realize the rules are there because other people cannot.
