Host double booked and when I arrived there was already a party of 8 people there. Host did not respond to me at all to convey his apologies or the messages I sent via the app. I booked this back in June and he just couldn't be bothered at all at the fact that I was now out of a place to stay. Honestly it was probably for the best though as once I received the email a couple of days before with the check in instructions I saw that he had all these rules about the thermostat and the "hot tub" that was posted in the listing. The hot tub in the email said that you had to pay extra for, which wasn't listed on the post. Vrbo would do well to terminate any of his listings because he has poor management skills with his bookings, not a care at all that he put people out, and he's deceptive with his listing with additional fees even though the listing says no hidden fees.

Do not book, multiple issues, I did not even end up checking in because of how dissatisfied I was. Listing literally states "Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees." But as other reviews will also confirm, there were hidden fees. They send you a menu of how much extra they will charge you per day depending on what temperature you want to set the AC to (default is like 78 which is way too high). And they do this after your cancellation period is done. More alarming, he asked me to venmo or zelle him AKA needing my personal information- even if there are extra fees it should be done on VRBO. They also asked me for a picture of driver's license, again on personal text rather than VRBO. This is hugely concerning regarding my privacy. Host's response was that of course they need an ID per Florida laws. I have stayed at many places in Florida and live in Florida, never have I been asked for a PICTURE of my ID to be texted the day before check-in. Additionally if this is a standard for the property they need to state that in the listing, not sketchily be calling/texting me for this the day before check in. so TLDR: very weird vibes, made me and my family feel unsafe, and asks for extra unadvertised fees, all of this done after the cancellation period so you can't even do anything about it at the end.

Made our reservation 2 months in advance. 3 days before the reservation we received an email with a full page of all the rules and detailed extra charges. It stated that the AC was locked at 77-78 and provided a sliding scale of extra daily charges to adjust the temp lower. (4 per day for 75-76, and 7 per day for 74-73 etc) We had an event to attend close by, so were fine with the unusual restrictions. We were running late, so sent a message to the owner to let them know. They did not respond. We arrived at the house around 9:00 pm. Noticed many security cameras outside the property. Their check in email said the location of the lockbox and that it would be released upon arrival. We messaged them that we had arrived - no response - called their phone number - they did not answer. Finally we called customer service who contacted them. While on the phone with customer service, the host cancelled our reservation and claimed they had cancelled it previously & rented to someone else. The house was clearly not occupied when we arrived. Don't waste your time. This host is rude, unprofessional, and should not be renting their property.While we were given a full refund by Vrbo, we had to scramble to find a hotel room nearby for our event. We were lucky, and were able to, but it could have been a very different story.

Property was misrepresented and in need of repair

This property is not as advertised, and there are several items in disrepair that present safety hazards to occupants, especially small children.It was not disclosed that you have to pay extra to use the air conditioner in a meaningful way. The hot tub does not exist except for a short window in the winter, then there is an extra charge. The laundry is locked away in the garage, where guests do not have access. The property was clean and tidy, but our complaint was that it was misrepresented and in disrepair.

Apparently canceled our reservation without our knowledge we didn’t know until an hour before we got there when I tried to call and get the code to get in and we had eight family members in line behind us and then we had nowhere to stay in a motel room need more communication between them and the app that still showed that we were booked and ready to go Very upsetting

Do not rent this house

Never had a bad experience until we rented this home. No smoke detectors, hole in ceiling, organic growth in vents, chargers for using the a/c, no hot tub, pool is not clean and there are little cockroach friends. House was not cleaned, bathrooms had hair in sink and bath tub. We did not stay in this house and had to find another one. Contacted the landlord and still have not heard from them. Do yourself a favor and do not book this house.

Absolutely loved this place

Quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable, easy access, friendly neighborhood, quick responses from management, plenty towels and a privacy fence that blocks out the rest of the world. Can't wait to come back. Any previous negative reviews, have since been addressed.

Nice Property in Good Neighborhood

Arrived at dusk, house numbers are hard to read. Maid was not finished with clean up. Could not occupy until she finished. Diningroom floor is raised about 1 inch above other floors. Trip hazard for old folks like me. One toilet clogged immediately the other had a handle that stuck in the open position unless monitored closely. Have to pay extra if you want heat prior to December. Lighting/fans are controlled by remotes. No one briefed us on that so it took a few moments to figure out. No wi-fi instruction was given. We eventually found the router and got the password off of it. These are just a few comments. Our stay was pleasant.

Nice

Over all nice clean place. Husband enjoyed the pool. The location worked out great not to far from my relatives that we visited. The only thing we didnt like was some information wasn't told to us until we actually was on the way there,such as prices for temperatures in the house air or heat and there was a deposit on our pet which I thought should of been in the up front pricing.

Overall Nice stay with some flaws.

There was things listed on the booking was not available such as hot tub and jetted bath tub. The listing also said pet friendly with nothing being said about extra fees. After being there for a day the cleaning lady asked for a 50 dollar non refundable deposit I let her know that I a service animal and not a pet. The house wasn’t fully cleaned and had roaches and not The Palmetto bugs. The floors were cleaned but the bathroom needed better cleaning and bedding needed more detergent in wash. The pool area and patio was very nice. I would say again with the hopes for the owner having pest control come in. Overall a nice house with some improvements on cleaning

It was the perfect house for the 5 of us. Near my in-laws. The pool is fantastic, we spent most of our time outside. The kitchen has everything you need. Clean and comfortable. Thank you!everything you need

Loved it!!

We stayed here for 6 days and absolutely loved it. We hit a deer right after we left home and our trip was delayed. The owner and housekeeper were very accommodating with our late arrival and worked with us. The housekeeper was very nice. The home is beautiful and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet. We was only an hour away from st. Augustine. We loved being close enough to drive an hour to the ocean With out staying in a big city. We will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time at this house. It was clean tho it is an older home. The housekeeper was amazing as she met us there to help the check in process and even texted later to make sure all was ok. The only thing is in the master bath the shower sliding door fell off the hinges. And they need to update the pillows as they were very flat. Also the wash cloths really need updating as they were fraying. The bath towels were great tho. These are minor issues and would definitely stay again

I was offended by the communications from the owner. The Housekeeper was fantastic, texted with check in, checked on us from time to time and was very congenial. The owner, after requiring a $119 damage insurance policy added to the cost for 2 nights, sent a long list of extra charges if you used any of the listed amenities (pool or hot tub) and if you changed the heating/ air conditioning to normal room temperatures. The email warned that there were cameras to monitor use of the amenities. The living on the cake was when he had the housekeeper text me at 9:30 pm to tell me not to leave the front porch lights on all day when the fact was I had turned them on at 4:30 pm on our way out to meet family for dinner and needed the light to safely see our way in to the house.

Seating

The place was absolutely awesome. But if your a tall person the back of the seating are short backed, my husband is tall and I had to go purchase a high back plastic chair so he could be comfortable. But other than that the place was very clean and plenty of room.I would definitely recommend and stay again next year if there was a recliner in the living area.

Nice home in Good neighborhood

Was a nice property, housekeeper was very good at accommodating us with what we needed and answering questions. However, we did request when, we booked in April, a shower chair as we had a friend who is a 100% disabled veteran and we were not supplied a handicapped shower chair. We had to go out and get a plastic outside chair by the pool and his wife had to try to assist him which was very risky. He and she are in their early 70s.

Comfortable and Clean

I spent five days here with two friends. We had plenty of room and loved the pool. We waited out hurricane Idalia and wasnt very concerned as it's a block house and very sound. The house was clean and Debra was very responsive and kind. If I ever need to return to the area I'll definitely check on this home first.
