This was our third time at Ad Lib, and unfortunately, this will likely be our last. The hotel itself is new and beautiful inside. But, we have been underwhelmed by the staff. Upon arrival this time, they asked if we have visited before. That was a surprise since this was our third time. Both Chatrium and Avani, for example, always make a point of welcoming us back, upgrade our room, and really make it known they are happy that we returned. Staff members at every turn are super kind, friendly, and helpful. This is not the case at Ad Lib. A few staff members are great, but most act like they couldn't care less that we are there. The restaurant on the 27th floor is very average, and the bar seems to have untrained bartenders. The drinks are too sweet, mostly ice, and just not tasty. Again, the hotel itself is beautiful and we love the room, but this is Thailand, and people are helpful, kind, and friendly everywhere we go, but not so much at Ad Lib. We are easy guests, by the way, and we are very kind to all we meet. We are the kinds of customers they need to keep.
