When in Maui, we will stay here again

Overall great experience. Clean, quiet, and comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. Ground floor and AC enhanced our experience. Adequate parking. The complex is also well kept and perfectly situated on the beach, with turtles coming ashore every morning. Lastly, overall great location to access all that Maui offers.

Great spot!

We had a great time. The turtles come up to the beach and you can see them and watch them swim a protected channel. We loved the Monsoon restaurant. The condo is well equipped and homey. We had to travel to other beaches to see reefs. It is a great place for small children.

Great beach access

We were double booked for this location and instead we were moved to a different property that this company also rents. We really liked the location to the beach and how close the farmers market and little bakery are to the property but you are making eye contact with anyone using the pool.. it’s so close! We thought the condo looked nice enough but we did have a couple of issues - firstly the bathroom in the hallway had a horrible smell like sewer (we had heard that this property flooded recently so we assume it’s from that) second we couldn’t get one of the showers to operate and when we decided to use the bathtub for our son, a roach came out of the faucet. Lastly, there was a consistent issue with bugs. I had to sweep daily to keep them off the floor because my son was picking them up. I wouldn’t say any of those things ruined our trip, we still had a lovely time - it’s hard to be upset in Hawaii!

Fantastic location and property

I read the previous reviews and looked at the photos that the host provided. I think our stay was better then we expected. The hosts provided everything we needed. Great property, great communication and great amenities. They had beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs, an amazing view that was close to the beach. The beach was perfect for small children. They did everything our family needed to make our stay comfortable. The only negative would be the BBQs on the roof top balcony didn't work great with a few burners not heating. But even they were immaculately cleaned and once we found the ones that worked we were great. Would definitely stay again.

Great Vacation spot

I rented this unit for our older children, ages 19-22, and it was perfect for them and right down the hall from ours! Condo was clean, spacious for the 4 of them, great patio area and nice view. We would rent this unit again!

Amazing stay!

I stayed with my two teenage sons. The view from my patio was the breathtaking beach which was only a few steps away. The grounds were well kept and the pool was great when we weren’t at the beach. We traveled to Lahaina a lot and the drive was only 30 mins. Shopping and places to eat were close by in Kihei. The condo came with all the amenities we could want and my boys took advantage of the masks, snorkels, and beach chairs. This was a very pleasant stay and I am very happy to have found this unit on the ground floor. The only bad part was having to pack up and leave. I recommend this place!!

Hidden Gem

We've stayed at Menehune Shores once before and it's still quite the gem. The small private beach/lagoon is perfect for my kiddos. The vibe here is still very cool and low key, all the other guests and residents are very welcoming and easy to talk to. There is a communal set of BBQs on the roof, so striking up a conversation with a complete stranger is lovely and easy. The location is pretty central to a number of fun activities, and the area is super quiet. While prices have definitely gone up in the last few years, it still feels like a good value.

Great Location

We have stayed at Menehune Shores before and enjoy staying on the ground floor because we have kids and they can easily go outside and run around. This room was better than our last stay because it had air conditioning. There are a few things I would ask be changed. The curtains are a bamboo woven style that does not block out much light so with a toddler who napped we had to use an extra sheet to cover the window to block out more light. It would have been nice to have curtains or blinds. Also they did not have a tea kettle which is a small thing but to a tea drinker is an absolute necessity. Other than that the place was fantastic! The property manager was also easy to get ahold of and very accommodating with some travel issues we had.

Adequate but not ideal

Location really impacted the enjoyment of our stay. If you are here for a relaxing calm tropical stay; the street noise, parking lot noise, and people passing by your condo can be irritating because of the excessive noise including trying to relax on your lanai. The noise sleeping in the twin room was impossible so we ended up sleeping on the floor with the futon and the sofa. We like to open all our windows to feel the tropical breeze of Hawaii so we are not a fan of the AC or closing up all the windows. Place was dated but clean. One of the bathroom’s faucet could be better since the it sprayed all over the place. Very thin toilet paper was a bit annoying since it seemed like you used more than you would normally use on a thicker roll. Unfortunately, I would never return to this particular condo.

Step Out To Maui Paradise

This location is on the ground floor with a walk out lanai. It was perfect for two couples and completely appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location!

We loved being on the ground floor and having easy access to the beach. We didn't even use the pool, because the fishpond out front is so great. It doesn't get too derp even at high tide, so...great for families. The condo kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and plenty of linens for bedrooms and bathrooms. We did tell the property manager that there was no DVD player, as stated in the listing. Luckily, we had our Fire Stick, so we could watch shows if we wanted. The couch does not recline, just for the record, and one of the beach chairs in the closet is busted. But chairs and coolers came in handy. There is road noise at this location, but there's also easy access to shopping, the aquarium, and other activities. We'd come back, definitely.

Coming Back Is A Must

Impressive. Having the extra amenities in the second bedroom closet was quite impressive and very much appreciated. This place was clean and felt more like a second home than a rental. The view from the lanai was even better in person, an amazing way to wake up. There was also a sewing kit there that I found to be super helpful. If this is your first time to this area, I would strongly suggest exploring the area. everything you could possibly want is close by. Taking a right out of the complex, most shops, restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance. I will definitely book this rental again soon for January as a birthday retreat. Coming back is a must.

Great Condo March 2022

Nice condo with a great view from the lanai! Condo was well stocked with TP, paper towels, and laundry detergent. Nice to have individual a/c controls for each room. There were turtles on the beach and rocks next to the hotel! It was quite windy so be prepared for that. Our kayak/ snorkel trip was canceled for that reason. Apparently this part of the island catches the trade winds. The west side of the island was less windy-I’m sure it depends on the time of year. Restaurants and shops a short drive away. A rental car is a must to explore the island. Would stay here again in the future.

Beautiful place to stay! Right on the water and the turtles love to sun there. It smells of flowers and is close to many stores and activities. Would stay there again. Note: Checkin information comes less than 24 hours prior to your stay.

GREAT Property

This is a wonderful place with killer sunsets! We had a few things that needed repair / attention but the property management team was on it within an hour or so. Clean 2BR / 2B with a great sunset every night and a great spot on top of the building to watch whales while grilling dinner.
