Check in was super easy, and the house really has everything available for a week on the beach. Location wise, you could walk your beach gear back no problem, and the kitchen was great to cook in on the nights you didn't want to go out for dinners.

Lovely time with lovely pool

The property was great and worked well for a family of 10. The appliances were nice, everything was well maintained, and the new pool was a huge unexpected bonus!

Wonderful Week in Kill Devil Hills

We loved our stay at KDH-1 FHL. Amazing house with incredible immenities - I mean that hot tub! Everything was clean and ready to go upon arrival, making check in a breeze. Would definitely recommend this house!

We loved staying in this home this time! Great location, close to the beach and other entertaining places, close to grocery and souvenir stores! The home is newly renovated and the rooms are big enough for families to stay! The only small concern was that it was not that much equipped in the kitchen like we used to see in other places probably cuz of renovation). Thank you for everything 👍🙏

Beautiful home in the heart of OBX

This is a very beautiful up to date home. The living area is spacious and the porches provide great views and comfort. The bottom level has great game options for all ages. The smaller gaming room can easily be used as a 5th bedroom if needed.

Great Value

Very nice rental that felt brand new. Liked the high ceilings on main floor, the 4 decks with good views, massive kitchen, and the lower floor game room. House has a great location with walking distance to beech and the Wright memorial. VRBO was very responsive to email with any issues/inquiries.

This property is amazing! Centrally located, near the ocean and beautiful maintained. My family and I enjoyed the entire house but the pool and balconies were our favorite. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset everyday. I definitively recommend this property. One small issue was that we have to purchase a large pot to cook seafood broil for 8 adults, kitchen did not have a large pot.Kitchen otherwise is well stocked and plenty or room for more than one cook in the kitsch...Next time I will bring my largest pot for this dish. Otherwise it was a great family vacation. I highly recommend this property.

Very nice spot and great location

In the middle of all of your favorite stores, restaurants, and grocery stores. This house is new and still feels like we were the first ones staying in it. Kitchen was well stocked with great appliances (gas stove was a plus). A TV in every room, so nobody was without their favorite show during downtime. Walk to the beach was not bad at all.

in the middle of a pandemic, we felt very safe in this cottage. Very nice company to work with. We met our cleaning person. Very through. Will use them again. Our last vaca experience with resort realty was awlfull.this company did an excellent job. Thanks !

Great House!

This house was perfect for us. There was enough room for everybody. There are a few things that could be addressed but wouldn't stop us from renting again. The beds were very uncomfortable, the ere are not enough towel bars or hooks in bathrooms to hang things, and a new cover was put on the hot tub, but it is very hard to put on and off. It was very clean and well equipped. The location is perfect!

Nice House; Some warts; Great Rental Agency

The house was very neat and clean. Layout was nice. With little to absorb sound it is a loud house. The biggest disappointment was the hot tub. It caused a sore/infection on my arm day one. It could have been a bite of some sort but required topical and oral steroids. The cover on that hot tub was a real pain to remove or replace. It almost took the fun out of having a hot tub and I have owned and rented many. And, the controls on the tub were always acting crazy. The other main negative with the house (Neighbors; see below) was the lack of sufficient cooking pots/pans. The house has plates, cups, silverware for like twenty people. But, good luck making a big beach vacation pasta and meatball meal for 12 people with the pots and pans available. We also rented a small traditional 3BR oceanfront near the pier the same week that had more pots/pans. This is an easy fix. Hot tub definitely should be replaced. The Shoreline Agency was really great. We have rented from Ocracoke to 4x4 the last 25+ years. That includes so many agencies. They maintenance person who had to come twice was just great. They were fast and responsive. I would pick them again next year when I will be looking for a single large oceanfront. KDH is not my style but that little pier front cabin has the best 4th of July fireworks. Our neighbors to the left (Facing the ocean) were a pain from day one when several police car showed up and again on the 4th of July playing corn hole on the porch after one am and screaming. The first night I think there was a flash type mob of kids who showed up on bikes, roller skates, etc. while the adults slept and then fought on the side walk after the police left.

Beautiful house, wonderful vacation

We had a fantastic vacation and this home was perfect for our 2 families. The house is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The set up is perfect. The reason for 4 stars is that in the pictures it appears the beach entry is across the street, but it is actually a walk down the street which was a little inconvenient with small children. But we were able to drive the kids and chairs etc, then drop the car and walk back. It was a minor inconvenience. Thank you for an amazing week!

Nice House

Big House. Small price. Plenty of room for the family. The Hot tub slash pool is good for little kids. A real pool would be nice, but no complaints here.

Great House!

The house is bigger than it appears in the photos. It’s modern & tastefully furnished. There was plenty of space for our group: 3 families of 3, each with babies under 2. The beach is a short 7 min walk or 2 min drive away. We had no problem finding parking at the beach access everyday. The only complaint is the house wasn’t as clean as we’d have liked. Floor could use a sweep at least, and a deep clean would be even better. The bathrooms need another towel rack & a hook behind the door. Otherwise, great house & great stay!
