Sound Escape - Sound front guest apartment. Water access, bikes, & kayaks

  • Enjoy sound front views and sunsets over Kitty Hawk Bay! This is a 1 bed 1 bath guest apartment attached to our home with a private entry, private bath, private outside deck and private living space. Built in 2017. There is a outside shower available to guests, extra pullout couch, and covered parking underneath our house. Guests have free access to bikes, beach chairs, and kayaks off the dock.

    Centrally located on the OBX in Kill Devil Hills. 3 minute drive to free public beach accesses (1 mile), Publix is 1/2 mile away, multiple restaurants within a mile, and this is a wonderful neighborhood for biking. There is a sound front boardwalk to bike down, Wright Brothers Monument is a 5 minute bike away, and many of our favorite restaurants are biking distance from our house.

    Avalon Pier, Brewing Station, beach road bars, and Publix all within 1 mile.

    Optional E-Bike Rentals:
    E-Bike rentals available $50/day. Beach Cruisers and kayaks included with your stay.

    House Rules - No smoking inside and no pets allowed.

We really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the inland water.Sure the ocean is great to spend part of your day. But looking over the Sound and enjoying setting on the boat dock watching the osprey and the sunset was pretty nice.The host seemed to understand what amenities made for an enjoyable stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is on a quiet street with the most amazing views of the sound. The host is very friendly, responsive and helpful. We’ve stayed here several times and will be back.

Beautiful place to stay! Great communication. We loved fishing from the pier every evening while watching the sunset and using the kayaks to fish first thing in the morning. We will definitely be back!

Excellent! Walking distance to local shops and grocery, nice little balcony overlooking the sound, perfectly clean and well appointed kitchen. Would definately stay again, and will recommend!

The location was beautiful wirh a private pier to fish from or simply enjoy the sunsets. There are bike paths nearby and one can easily ride to the Wright Brothers National Memorial.

Great experience, awesome hosts. We got married in Nags Head and stayed here for the duration. Read our vows to each other on the pier. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Good location near many things to do. Try Nags Head Woods for hiking and the Collington Cafe fur a great dining experience. There's access to a dock for fishing or soaking up the sun and relaxation. Breakfast and coffee on the balcony was an every morning thing. If you love sunsets you'll be pleased here as well.

Our stay was perfect from start to finish. The place was nicely decorated, had updated furniture, very clean and accommodating. It was a nice bonus to have access to the backyard which had 3 hanging hammock swings and a trampoline. The sunset view from the dock was amazing well! I definitely recommend and looking forward to staying again in the future. .

We absolutely LOVED our visit to Kill Devil Hils. Everything was located within 5 miles including the Avalon Pier, grocery stores and restaurants. We highly recommend Barefoot Bernies, Jolly Rogers (especially for breakfast), Black Pelican and Goombays.

Eddie’s place is a perfect little oasis that captures the heart of NC charm. They are excellent hosts and very communicative throughout your stay. The space is immaculate and offers great views of the sound; it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset; the bikes and kayaks are also a big plus and the area is very safe and close to everything; I highly recommend a stay here for couples and hope to get back one day

This was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. The host was as good as it gets. The neighborhood is quiet, perfect for walks and bike rides. The beach is just minutes away and there were plenty of restaurants nearby as well. The dock was perfect for fishing or just watching the sunset. I wish I could give more than 5 stars but I can’t. Highly recommend and we will definitely book this place again when it’s just the wife and I.
