  • Beautiful log house in the Catskill Mountains with wood-burning fireplace, big open kitchen, vaulted ceilings, huge backyard..100% private. Surrounded by woods and gardens on a dead-end road with a stream down the road you can hear. Cable and streaming tv in 3 rooms). CELL PHONES WORK PERFECTLY!! Tons of gorgeous hiking, fishing, skiing, music venues, swimming, tubing, antique shopping, wonderful restaurants. Beyond peaceful. Garage is modestly renovated to serve as extra rec/game area.
    There is a grill for your use.
    There is a portable fire pit and also a beautiful stone fireplace indoors. Fans in every room, ceiling fan above king bed in master. Bed guards are available to use for toddlers and a booster seat, high chair , etc . Also have pet gate and kennel. Shandaken STR License # 2023-STR-AO-118.

Cozy, charming and choc full of cool stuff to delight. The fireplace, quietude, nice yard, proximity to the Catskills, comfy beds and warm, humanistic style made this a perfect stay.

Great cabin in the perfect location! Well stocked, tons of firewood which was perfect for the snow storm that hit while we were there. Communication with Therese was great - she quickly responded to our questions and concerns with the snow storm. We would definately stay here again.

This cabin was perfectly secluded but conveniently located to all the things. We enjoyed the cozy campfires in the evenings and exploring the Catskills Mountains during the day. The owner was quick to respond to questions and had a well-stocked , beautifully maintained cabin.

Log cabin living.

Perfect 4 night stay. Cabin was clean, comfy and secluded. Close to Belleayre skiing and not to far from Woodstock. Would definitely stay again

Charming and cozy and surrounded by trees!

We had a great weekend escape from NYC and enjoyed skiing during the day and enjoying the beautiful fireplace at night. The host was extremely attentive and responsive and made sure the driveway was properly cleared so we could get in and out. Charming decoration and very cozy vibe!

Cabin Getaway

Property is excellent and convenient to the main roads. The cabin has everything and then so. The host is super attentive and everything was beyond our expectations. Conveniently located near Belleayre , Hunter and Windham.

Cozy Cabin

Another wonderful stay at Theresa's cozy cabin. This was our first time coming for Memorial Day weekend and there were plenty of hiking trails and outdoor activities all of us. Great location. Great wifi. Dog crate in the garage was perfect for when we went to dinner and had to leave our pup behind.

Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

A lovely property, serene and private but still close enough to town to be convenient; it made an excellent home base for exploring the local area. It is incredibly cozy and comfortable, especially after long outings. It's clean, well-maintained, and nicely presented. We're planning to recommend this place to friends in the future, and hope to someday come back ourselves.

Everything it’s described to be; quiet, private, well equipped, comfortably furnished. Cooking, grilling steaks, relaxing on the porch, enjoying coffee in the morning, building a fire in the fireplace in the evening, listening to the sound of a rushing stream below, really all we hoped for. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for such a quiet, secluded retreat. The proprietor was readily available with helpful advice. By all means, stop by Milgiorelli’s for fresh produce, homemade foods, fresh cuts of steak!

Beautiful location and cabin

The location is secluded and gorgeous. The cabin is adorable and beautifully decorated. We brought our dogs and they loved the peaceful atmosphere. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch watching the rain and relaxing on the deck. The garage area was a bonus. Would love to stay again in the fall. Cute towns to visit. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to relax and unplug.

Lovely Catskills getaway location

The home: beautiful place, lots of natural light, home-y, comfortable, had everything we needed. Great fireplace. Location: convenient, but far enough away from hustle and bustle to give you a sense of privacy. Property manager/owner: Prompt and totally friendly responses.

Love this house and property so much! We rented for a month during early COVID and again Labor Day weekend 2023. It feels like a home away from home. My kids are already asking me when we can go back.

Rustic and elegant

The decor is a blend of rustic country items and elegant sparkly touches. It’s all about comfort and charm, practical amenities and luxurious details. It’s clean as a whistle. It’s set in the woods, gorgeous greenery everywhere. I’d love to return in the autumn.

A Family Getaway

My husband and I live in Northern Michigan, our grown children live in Brooklyn, and we had a big birthday to celebrate (my husband's)! We'd stayed in the Shandaken area before and loved it, and wanted to find a place that felt like it was in the middle of the woods while being convenient to everything we needed – and wanted – during our stay, from hiking to grocery shopping to dining out. The house was clean, comfortable, and very inviting. We all had a great time and would love to come back!
