“Good location, close to the hockey fields. Fire alarm went off 6.15am. we all evacuated, but the firefighters did not come until the guests called them. Cleaning staff were in the building, but did not check on guests etc. Meals were available & good value.”

“Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and friendly atmosphere allowing for the mingling with other guests if desired. The waterfalls and quaint townships were very close. A great location!”

“In actual fact the property needs to be bulldozed and replaced. It is a worn out old motel. It was only for one night a bed and a shower in the toilet and that’s all it was good for, the fluorescent light in the bathroom flicked and wouldn’t stay on the smoke detector in the room had been removed. I thought that was an interesting effect. When I asked the motel staff they said I will fix that question. Maybe not. It’s my first and last day there.”

“The house is really pretty and well kept, the food was good, the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, none of that adds up to the sound of the raucous downstairs throbbing through our room constantly and at a decibel loud enough to be measured on the Richter scale until midnight…. I don’t have a problem with the club having a function and people having lots of fun- but maybe don’t sell the stay as a quaint and old-school relaxing retreat. “Friendly staff & fantastic restaurant next door. Easy parking onsite, with the room being clean & tidy, but could be improved in the bathroom with new shower & towel rails, but they were still functional. I was travelling for work, and would potential stay again.”

“Freshly renovated, very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price went up $25 from morning to afternoon on the day I booked but that was my fault for procrastinating. They have on site breakfast available for additional charge but we didn’t eat there.”
