100% as advertised

The service was friendly and amazing. The views were magnificent and the room was tucked right into the mountain with an outdoor shower and toilet. It's the true meaning of the word rustic - but make sure that's what you REALLY want. We found the outdoor bathroom lacking in privacy, the room cumbersome to walk to and the hotel itself far away from what we really wanted to do - but that DOES NOT reflect on the hotel - it was an awesome experience with strong wifi, taxi service, and lots of smiles, just not for me.

Super Aussicht von der Terrasse. Leider bemerkten wir recht schnell, dass Ratten in unser Bungalow ein uns aus liefen. Diese zerfraßen einen Rucksack und pinkelten auf die Klamotten. Auf unsere Beschwerde an der Rezeption kam nur, dass ich wahrscheinlich Eichhörnchen seien und es hier keine Ratten geben würde. Dazu wurde nicht gesagt dass der Transfer vom Pier etwas kostet und von uns wurde mehr verlangt als der eigentliche Preis. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Nicht empfehlenswert

Bei diesen Bungalows muss man wissen worauf man sich einlässt. Ich persönlich habe den Aufenthalt geliebt, mein Freund jedoch, war trotz der Fotos online etwas verwundert, wie wenig Comfort es gibt. Ja, das "Badezimmer" befindet sich außen und ist somit ungewohnt rustikal und im Bungalow befinden sich ausschließlich ein Bett mit einem Moskitonetz, ein Ventilator, ein Mülleimer und eine kleine Ablagefläche für bspw. Schuhe. Der Ausblick unserer Unterkunft war es jedoch alle Mal wert und der Name "Magic View" ist Programm. Einen Sonnenaufgang von der Hängematte aus zu betrachten ist zudem dort wunderschön und absolut entspannend. Die Anlage ist klein, sehr grün und hügelig und des Weiteren abgelegen von so ziemlich allem anderen. Was jedoch ein wundervoller weiterer Vorteil ist, dass man direkt von der Anlage aus die Klippen über Stufen hinabgehen kann und sein privates Schnorchelparadies dort vorfindet. Wie waren dort gang alleine und überglücklich.

Un beau moment de dépaysement!

Points +: le dépaysement est total, dormir dans des cabanes sur pilotis avec vue sur la mer est assez insolite! Il est possible d'accéder à la mer (attention pas de plage) mais certainement un bon endroit pour faire un peu de snorkeling (ce que nous n'avions pas fait faute de matériel) Points à améliorer: le petit déjeuner pourrait être plus copieux Points -: très éloigné du centre. Nous avions loué un scooter pour 2 jours (beaucoup moins cher que le taxi et plus sympa) pour nous permettre de naviguer entre le centre ville et l'hôtel. Pas de restaurants autour. La douche en extérieur est un peu rustique!

I loved the off the beaten path location. Staff was awesome room was like a bamboo tree fort over looking the ocean, with a hammock and covered deck, literally carved out of nature!!! fabulous property. loved Ottie the dog take him treats if you go. Lots of fun for people wanting something fresh, and adventurous. loved it. Its a taxi ride across but the moon dance will give you lifts so arrange a ride. We went diving on Ko Tao it was a welcome dive experience.

Tolle Aussicht - das ist aber auch schon alles

Wir haben uns für die Unterkunft entschieden, da sie relativ gute Bewertung aufzeigte und wir definitiv in Meer Nähe sein wollten. Was man ausdrücklich sagen muss ist, dass die Aussicht wirklich wunderschön war! Das wars aber auch schon. In dem Bungalow selbst steht lediglich ein Bett mit einem Moskitonetz und ein Ventilator. Zum Bad, welches sich im Freien befindet, musste man herunterklettern. Dies war ziemlich unpraktisch und zum Teil auch sehr nervenaufreibend v.a. in der Nacht. Allgemein war das "Bad", wenn man es überhaupt so bezeichnen konnte, sehr ungepflegt. Wir hatten Besuch von einer riesen Grabbe und einer Schlange. Ein weiterer negativ Punkt war, dass die Nachbarn einen zum Teil beim duschen beobachten konnten. Das Zimmer wurde während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht ein einziges Mal geputzt, geschweige denn wurden uns neue Handtücher gebracht. Das Frühstück und allgemein das Essen war in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Das Personal an sich war anfangs noch etwas bemüht und freundlich was aber schon nach kurzer Zeit nachgelassen hat. Da die Bungalows ziemlich weit weg sind von dem Pier, ist man gezwungen den Haus eigenen Shuttle zu benutzen oder einen Roller zu mieten. Jedes mal wenn wir den Shuttle zum Pier nehmen wollten, wurde uns gesagt, dass der Fahrer momentan keine Zeit hat und uns erst in mehr als einer Stunde fahren kann. Im Endeffekt haben wir herausgefunden, dass er andere Gäste zuerst gefahren hat ohne uns Bescheid zu geben oder Pause hatte.

Einfache Unterkunft mit schönem Blick

Die Anlage ist auf einem Hügel außerhalb der Orte gebaut. Um irgendwo hinzukommen, muss man den Shuttel-Service der Betreiber in Anspruch nehmen. Leider sind die Verantwortlichen bei diesem Service, sowie auch bei anderen Angebote nicht so ganz zuverlässig und so mussten wir eine Stunde auf den Pick-Up warten, obwohl wir diesen von vornherein bestellt hatten. Die Aussicht von den Bungalows ist traumhaft und auch die Hängematte vor den Hütten lädt zum Entspannen ein. Leider wird man jedoch ab der Dämmerung von Mosquitos angefallen und selbst ein gute Anti-Mücken Spray hilft nicht viel. Alles in allem ist der Ort ideal zum Entspannen und Runterkommen abseits vom Trubel. Schnorcheln kann man hier ebenfalls. Allerdings sollte man sich bewusst sein, dass man zum einen direkt im Dschungel wohnt und zum anderen die Unterkunft sehr einfach ist.

Truly Paradise

If you want to feel like you are truly in paradise this is your place! Definitely not the Marriott so if that's what you are looking for then this isn't for you but if you're looking to experience island life I HIGHLY recommend this!!

Great views but remote location

Friendly staff. Bamboo cabins very rustic. No.AC but fan kept it comfortable. Bed very firm. Outdoor toilet and shower was cool. Shower water not heated. Great views. Road to resort bad. Need 4x4 or dirt bike.

Beautiful magical views

Free taxi ride on arrival just call hotel when you get to the island and they'll pick you up within 20min. It's in a remote part of Koh Tao so if you looking for an authentic Thailand stay, cold showers, not so soft bed, space away from the touristy parts of the island and amazing views... This is the place for you!

Hotell med fantastisk utsikt, og ikke mye mer

Et hotell med flott utsikt. Svært enkle bungalower med dusj og toalett i «bakgården» på hver bungalow. Helt avhengig av taxi for å komme til nærmeste butikk, restaurant eller annet man skulle ha behov for.

Tolle Bungalows

Super Hotel, kann man nur weiterempfehlen! Es ist wirklich ein pures Naturerlebnis, sollte ich wieder auf die Insel kommen dann nur in diese Bungalows. Das Essen war gut, man musste nur oft noch etwas nachwürzen. Das Frühstück das inclusive ist, ist sehr sparsam aber uns hat es gereicht. Der Ausblick und die tolle Schnorchelgelegenheit machen das aber schnell wieder weg :) Strand gibt es hier keinen. In die Stadt kommt man mit dem shuttel vom Hotel für 100B. Wenn ihr ankommt nehmt kein Taxi von dort das kostet mind das doppelte, ruft einfach im Hotel an die holen euch.

Beautiful

The hotel is a hidden paradise! But really hidden we tried to find it using Google Maps and we got lost like 4 times the road to get there is just a nightmare I felt from the motorbike and met another girl who also felt would not reccommend driving by yourself if you are not extremely good driver! When you find a place is just amazing view is breath taking and you dont want to leave the place!

Einzigartiges Hotel, man fühlt sich als ob man allein auf der Insel ist. Sehr minimalistisch... aber das macht es aus. Anfahrt ist sehr schwierig... wenn man alleine fährt... hier ist ein Taxi besser. Extrem steiler weg zum Meer... einstieg ist auch schwierig... dann aber gleich im tiefem klarem Wasser mit Fisch und Korallen Reichtum. Frühstück ist eher mager, das Essen zum Mittag oder Abendessen sehr lecker.

Fantastisk udsigt

Hyggeligt hotel med en fantastisk beliggenhed. Den mest fantastiske udsigt udover klipperne fra din bungalow og restauranten. Det er dog lidt vanskeligt at komme til og fra hotellet. Det koster 100THB pr. pers. Husk at aftale fri pick up fra færgen når du kommer af på Koh Tao. De henter jer ved 7/11.

Skulle inte bo där fler än 2-3 nätter, lite bök med transport.. Rätt avsides och väldigt branta backar till hotellet. Dock fin utsikt och lugnt och fridfullt. Små spikar stack upp ur golvet, bara kallvatten i duschen. Annars bra, gratis frukost.

Awesome, if you can handle it.

Basically, for the price and what is advertised; This is an excellent place. -Secluded, at the very end of a mountainous road. -Jungle experience. -Insane view of the ocean, from atop a cliff, that you can enjoy from your own hammock. -Cheap eating and drinking. -Extremely good snorkeling, if you climb down the steep stairs/footpath to the ocean. -The dive site 'King Kong' is theoretically a few meters away and you can see over to Shark Island (and other dive sites). -This is the true Koh Tao experience, not how the main stretch has become. In my few days stay, I'v encountered; -Squirrels (they even stole some cookies in my room) -Crabs (they might lurk in your 'bathroom', which by the way; is outside) -Geckos/lizards (>40cm) -Snakes -Dogs (2 residents) and a bird that speaks to you. +bugs (spiders and mosquitos mainly, but it's the same situation all over the island) NB! Bad(!) road access, far from the 'action', no wifi nor mobile coverage in the rooms (only in restaurant), rooms not cleaned every day.
