Step back in time in this charming studio in the heart of Koper’s historic centre. Tucked away in the narrow cobbled streets, the apartment is on the first floor of a charming old building. On the first floor, less than 6 minutes from the sea, this studio makes an ideal base for friends looking to explore this fascinating town.

The spacious, open-plan studio is full of light, thanks to 3 windows overlooking the quiet street. It includes a sofa, a flat-screen TV, an elegant dining table and a large antique wardrobe. The smart fitted kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Sleeping
There is a double bed in the corner of the living room and the sofa converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathroom
The modern bathroom includes a glass shower, basin, WC and washing machine.

Location
The Medieval heart of Koper and Titov trg (Titov Square) with its Venetian-style architecture is a fascinating place to explore. Koper was once part of the Venetian Empire, and this has left its mark on the town. The narrow streets of the historical centre offer some excellent restaurants and cafés.

There are many wonderful beaches along the coast, including Zusterna Beach (10 minutes) and the beach at Punta Grossa nature reserve (20 minutes). Further along the coast is the charming harbour town of Izola (16 minutes). One of the oldest settlements on the coast, it is packed with history and has a lively marina. Visitors can hire kayaks and paddle boards to explore this stunning coastline.

Away from the coast, the area is famous for its rock formations, caves and subterranean rivers. Skocjan Caves (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a spectacular series of caves, stalagmites and stalactites.

The closest airport is Trieste, Italy, which is a 1-hour drive. Alternatively, Ljubljana Airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
