Unforgettable Views Birds Paradise

The views are breathtaking, making morning coffee on the decks a truly magical experience as you watch and listen to parrots, toucans, hummingbirds, and a variety of other beautiful birds. The bed is comfortable, the water pressure is excellent, and the space is clean and well-equipped.A few things to keep in mind: a 4x4 vehicle is necessary to access the property. The nearby Phoenix restaurant is both convenient and offers great food. For a no-driving day, you can walk to the butterfly conservancy and then enjoy a meal at La Ventanita.

Beautiful Properry

The Sloth Suite at Birdsong Villas was fantastic! Although the rain and fog didn’t allow us to see the volcano, the grounds and property were beautiful. Agustin was wonderful to work with - communications were speedy and welcoming. The Phoenix restaurant on the hill and El Patio at the bottom of the hill were great options for dinners during our short stay. Convenient proximity to La Fortuna and the surrounding activities.

Top of the World!

We spent 3 nights at Birdsong Villa and greatly enjoyed our stay, even though the weather was rainier than we would have preferred. Prior to the clouds closing in, the views were amazing. Both showers (indoor and outdoor) were great, and we also enjoyed the jetted tub. The access road to the villa was an adventure; fortunately we rented a four wheel drive vehicle with decent ground clearance.

Best view!

We loved our short stay at Birdsong villa and only wished it could have been longer. The view is fantastic, the area very quiet, and there was a nice small restaurant nearby where we had our dinners. We didn't use the bath / Jacuzzi because it looked like it would going to take a very long time to fill up. Check in was very easy and the property manager couldn't have been more helpful.

Beautiful views!

It was very beautiful! Be prepared for a lot of insects in the suite though ( it is in the middle of the rainforest😉) Jacuzzi tub takes a very long time to fill, but was still nice because it was surrounded by windows and beautiful views. The kitchen is not well accommodated for cooking but there are many restaurants nearby. There is even one that you can walk to within five minutes. This property is all about the views and we enjoyed them every day.

Paradise

The property was clean and well appointed. The surroundings are out of a fairytale. The property has the ability to transport you to another reality. It was enchanting. We went to Monteverde, Arenal, and Playa Flamingo, but this was the place we fell in love with. Augustin was pleasant, kind, and patient. He never made us feel rushed. We will be back.

Description doesn’t do the place justice

Stunning location and beautiful views. We ate our meals at The Phoenix restaurant, and hiked back up the hill to Birdsong. That part was difficult and the 50 stairs up to the property can be a challenge to. However it was all completely worth it. We hired someone to drive us and not having a vehicle to get up and down the hill left us feeling a bit stranded. However we would stay here again if the opportunity came along. Very clean environment and a magical experience.

Spectacular views!!

Even better than pictured! Exceeded our expectations. Breakfast included at Nepenthe was a bonus. Very friendly staff. Wood fired pizza. 4 wheel drive is a must. Loved sitting out on the observatory deck. This place is awesome!!

A little slice of Costa Rican heaven!

After a rough and bumpy drive up the hill, this place sits atop a hill with a fantastic view of both the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the vegetation and flowers are absolutely beautiful. Inside the house, you'll have a 180 degree view thanks to floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides of the living area. While there is a hot tub in the corner, it really is not usable as the water flow is extremely slow. The same is true of the outdoor rock shower, although it adds a lot of character. However, that did not impact our love of this place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
