This was our first trip to France, and our first experience in a rented home. The home itself is situated in a ridiculously charming village - not far from Saint-Tropez, but far enough that you'll feel as if you've escaped to another world. Actually, you HAVE escaped to another world. The house itself is cozy, as advertised. Our bed was comfortable. The bathrooms feel tiny, but are fully equipped. The kitchen has the basics. Furniture is dated and a bit worn, but I suspect, intentionally so. If your inner-diva requires service and luxury, find a 5-star hotel in the city and prepare to spend considerably more than 100€/night. The operative word here, is 'charming.' Embrace the atmosphere, and disconnect from the chaos of modernity. Walk the streets of the neighborhood, and you might feel as though you've wandered onto a Hollywood backlot. However, the centuries-old facades you see contain real people, with rich histories and stories to tell.
