A spacious lounge features a stylish L-shaped sofa contrasting original features and the vast contemporary kitchen will impress the keenest of cooks inspired by Périgord’s fine cuisine. A second snug is a relaxing place to read or chat with a glass of wine whilst a full-sized pool table can be found through the heavy barn doors!Lay back on the poolside sun loungers as you look out towards fruit trees and scenic countryside beyond, before taking a dip in the swimming pool. Gather on the benches by the barbecue for shady lunches with family and friends or lingering evening meals as the sun sets and the clear night sky appears. The 2.5 acres of grounds are glorious with ample space to play, relax and soak up the tranquil environment. The house is set in a little hamlet only a 5-minute drive from an old village with a bakery, grocery store, tabac and café-bar. There’s a lovely pizzeria by the banks of the Dronne in Creyssac, just 10km away, and further restaurants in Bourdeilles, home to Château de Bourdeilles so gorgeously located by the river’s edge.Discover canoeing, kayaking, riverside walks and boat rides in the wonderful town of Brantôme, soak up the atmosphere of the famous Friday morning market in Riberac and visit picture-perfect Dordogne villages such as Nontron, Saint-Jean-de-Côle and Villars. La Grange Blanche is located in northern Dordogne, around 20 minutes from the historic towns of Ribérac and Brantôme. Set within a small hamlet at the end of a quiet road, the converted semi-detached farmhouse enjoys beautiful countryside views across its spacious 2.5-acre garden.The nearest village is just a five-minute drive away, offering a bakery, café-bar and small supermarket, while nearby Creyssac, Verteillac and Bourdeilles provide charming restaurants and riverside spots. The impressive Château de Bourdeilles is also well worth a visit.The lively market town of Ribérac is famous for its Friday market and excellent local cuisine, while picturesque Brantôme, set beside the river, offers canoeing, river cruises and scenic walks. Further afield, discover the beautiful village of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, the markets of Thiviers, or the historic city of Périgueux, known for its Roman heritage, vibrant markets and outstanding gastronomy.
