Historic Southern Utah Cottage- 20 miles to Zion National Park

  • This historical property has been updated from the inside out. Built in 1904 by the Wilson family, one of the very first families to settle LaVerkin. It is one of the oldest Pioneer homes in all of Southern Utah.

    This one bedroom, one bath structure is a combination of adobe brick and stick frame construction. The outside of the building has been left primarily untouched to maintain its historical integrity but has been updated inside to accommodate the modern traveler.

    *Please note our weather is similar Las Vegas Nevada, not Northern Utah. We have such amazing weather to come and experience the great Zion National Park!! (July and August ARE hot- But Zion has water hikes!)
    *We are open year round!

    **Also we are 2 blocks from the brand new -Zion Canyon Hot Springs! We have discount cards (while supplies last).

Absolutely amazing stay! We were close to everything, the instructions were very clear, the owner was communicative and the place had everything we needed and more. We will definitely stay again.

We loved this home! It was the perfect distance from all the activities we were doing. The home has such unique history and charm. The host was very quick to answer all questions.

Our host's communication was excellent. Absolutely beautiful place and well decorated. It has a super cozy feel which was very nice. The washer and dryer access was great and made our trip that much easier. Thanks!

This home was charming! It is beautifully decorated, the bed is comfortable (supportive, but not hard), and the owner is very easy to reach! I usually had a response in minutes!The location is great-quiet, but close to everything. If you stay be sure to read the homes history-it’s fascinating.

Enjoyed the history of this cottage/cabin. Very quaint, enjoyed the porch and the scenery. Most of our time was spent away from the cabin but when we returned it was always a peaceful.

Great comfortable and cozy place. Perfect for a couple. The location in La Verkin was perfect. Easy driving distance to national parks and other recreational venues. The town has all you need (groceries, eateries, coffee, gas etc)The hosts were excellent. Would definitely stay again

This is one of my favorite stays in the area! It’s very close to the hot springs if you are planning to go there, and we also had dinner at Red Fort which was very close. The pull out bed in the living room was comfortable for one person (me!) but may be too short if you are tall. Loved the custom booked that shares the history of the property and family. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Coffee on the front porch rocking chairs is lovely. Overall I’d highly recommend this as a base camp for your adventures in the area!

Liz was very friendly and responsive. Such a beautiful setting for this historic family home. If you are doing the Narrows, look at the rental place 2 blocks away on Main St (super helpful and saves 20 on gear rental versus rentals closer to Zion).

This little historic homestead was a favorite of ours. It was clean, quaint, and just perfect for us! We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch after a long day, taking in more views. The host was out of town, but her daughter was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll plan to stay here again. Also, check out River Rock Roasting Company about a mile away…delicious coffee and muffins!
