Spring Break with the kids

We rented The Townie to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. The property was a comfortable option for us with modern decor and high end linens. Nestled amongst a lovely historic neighborhood- near downtown area with plenty of dining/shopping options. I wouldn't hesitate to book again if we ever decided to return to LaGrange.

My kids and myself enjoyed our stay at the townie. Beautiful home and close to many locations Great wolf lodge, wildlife safari etc. I just did not like all the bees around the house we were unable to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Great stay at The Townie

The house and location were ideal! Close to our event location, and within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property, and enjoyed the ability to walk and explore the neighborhood, including walking on The Strand. We loved the spacious, updated kitchen and the comfortable bedrooms. The house is tastefully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to be back.

Great Location

Stayed here for a Baseball Tournament at the beginning of June and the house was less than 5 miles from the event center. The house was very clean and the layout was nice. The beds in the twin bed room are very very high off of the ground - worried the little one would roll out and fall on the floor but thankfully no issues with that. The ironing board is built in the wall in area off the kitchen - in a small closet - appears to be original to the house - took me 2 days to find it so just passing that along for others. Loved the wash machine and dryer because it made it easy to wash and dry the baseball uniforms on Saturday for Sunday. The closet organizer in the master bedroom is really nice. Loved the location and its proximity to everything - would like to stay again when I can enjoy the house and the area and not just use it for a place to crash after being in the heat all day at the ball fields.

Short and sweet

My daughter and I were in LaGrange for a tennis tournament less than a mile from this property. It was an exhausting weekend and this house was the perfect place to refresh. Spent most of our time in the very comfortable beds. They have LOTS of rules about cleanliness and ZERO helpful extras in the kitchen (no salt and pepper or oil or anything), but we didn’t have the time to be able to cook anything so it didn’t affect our trip. The house and yard are surprisingly big and would be a great place to spend a spring day.

Great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at The Townie. This is one of those homes where you walk in and instantly feel at home. It has all of the old charm appeal with modern furnishings. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. The bed and linens were top notch and oh so comfortable. The neighborhood is peaceful and lovely. Perfectly situated in Lagrange, downtown is literally minutes away, with lots of restaurants and wonderful little shops. I would definitely stay here again when visiting. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place to relax

The home is very tastefully decorated, the wood floors are immaculate and the open floor plan is welcoming. The neighborhood is very quiet and enjoyable for taking walks. It is near shopping and dining out.

Excellent place to stay

We needed a place for family to gather for a death in our family. Mrs. Poe was easy to work with and the house was perfect. We live in NC and visit family in AL/GA on occasion. We will definitely stay here over a motel in the future. Thank you again for making this an easier time for us.

Better than the listing

This is a beautiful tastefully renovated historic property close to LaGrange college. We had one hiccup during our trip and the property owner addressed it immediately. We had a great experience. We hope to be repeat renters!
