“We’ll start with the positives: owner was responsive to questions and concerns; location was a short walk to The Island where we could watch the sunset over the water. Beyond that it was, sadly, a disappointment. The front yard/entry was overgrown so the entry path wasn’t useable. The house itself is dated and shows obvious wear, and hadn’t been used in a while. There were clumps of dust in the corners, burrs in the carpet, old, mismatched, dirty dishes & glasses and so much mold in the master...

“I found this wonderful home a perfect place to stay with my family to celebrate my birthday! A big family room, a huge kitchen that was plenty stocked to satisfy my "chefs" to cook up their favorite meals. My family most enjoyed seeing 8 deers and 1 fox VERY near the house. I especially picked this house because of the game room! One has to be prepared in case of bad weather to entertain a family of all ages. Any family will not be disappointed renting this artsy home !”

“It was truly the most easy going vacation rental I have ever booked. The owner was friendly and funny when appropriate. For those that actually use a kitchen, the kitchen was stocked with even extras for the curious. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood, the floor to ceiling full length of the livingroom and kitchen make the home view spectuctular - all God and Nature!!! It was just one of those truly lovely place that had a peacefulness to it that made it enchanting. Simply...

“Great spot in the heart of Austin. The mermaid place was very beautiful and cozy with the whole environment being a big piece of art, made of many smaller pieces of art. Amenities are excellent, but the futons on the floor were rough on my husband’s back. Other than that, the hosts were great and we enjoyed meeting Lois and Stan.Highly recommend Ubers or other ride-shares to get to local eateries because parking is difficult to navigate. Really enjoyed the scooters in the city! ”

“signs and locks throughout the home to not use. Food in refrigerator and freezer for the owner a bit off putting. conflicting check-in times, sent message to owner for clarification . A different person replied. Accidentally showed up at one time, cleaning crew still there. Owner sent sharp message back. We felt very unwelcome like we were an imposition. Skolie in front of property with broken window boarded up with cardboard and sign for rental. Dead insects in window sills just after cleaning...
