We had a great stay! The area is beautiful, quiet, and perfect for scuba. The view is excellent, and being able to swim right there was a highlight. The host was responsive, kind, and helpful. AC in the rooms was great for sleeping, and the open air style home was very comfortable.Lagun is great. The beach would be excellent if you like to lay out and relax. There are a few great restaurants nearby, and the convenience store right out front is just that..convenient!One thing to know before booking: there is no hot water. This was not advertised as having hot water, but if you are coming from a colder climate it is something many people will assume exists with a shower. That said, if you shower mid to late afternoon, around 4 pm, the water is often quite warm anyway.

The communication with Thalia was very good. The good things about the villa are very good (the view, bedrooms (the only rooms with AC), showers & restrooms, villa location), but there are some negatives (no hot water, the pool & outside in general need some TLC). I expected a bit more for the money, but perhaps that is typical for Curacao or any Caribbean island. So, overall I give it an average grade.

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our vacation and loved the access to the ocean. We snorkeled a few times and did see some passing turtles one evening. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is a welcomed experience and the location of the home is convenient to the national park and some restaurants down the street. Unfortunately, we didn’t finish out our reservation due to an unforeseen issue, but the owner was more than accommodating with the situation. Excellent communication and very helpful with local recommendations.

This location in the north of Curacao was amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. The pool was surprisingly larger than expected! The space is clean and ideal for two couples. Two large bedrooms and bathrooms gave us a lot is space and privacy. You are right on the ocean for swimming and snorkeling which we did every day and the million dollar view was exceptional. Other beaches were nearing but we ended up staying at the house a lot because of the private access to the water. Thank you Thalia for your prompt and precise communication and recommendations. We would stay here again for sure!

Tranquil Villa

Yemaya Villa is absolutely beautiful. Commutation with Thalia was spot on and was always available when needed. The Villa is located by the best beaches in Curacao. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning on the second-floor terrace watching the dolphins and sea turtles swim by. We also enjoyed diving from the platform and swimming with the dolphins and sea turtles as well. This is a perfect villa for a family of 4 on holiday.

Unforgettable! A beautiful property in an amazing country!

Unforgettable! A beautiful property in an amazing country! Lagun and Westpunt area have some of the most amazing beaches we have had the pleasure of relaxing on! And this house is not to be missed! It’s an ideal location for exploring all the beaches along the West Coast, with some of the best snorkeling right in your own backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sounds of parrots, fishing right off our steps, snorkeling whenever we wanted to – which was AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE with how convenient it was! And after a full day of exploring multiple beaches via rented Jeep, it was great to just float in our backyard while watching the sunset. The house was fully equipped with everything you need from kitchen supplies, pool floats, fishing gear, SPF, bug spray, snorkeling equipment and much more. The beds were SO comfortable, the AC in the rooms helped with a great night’s sleep – we never even thought twice of not having AC in the foyer because the amazing breeze off the sea was perfection! We saw turtles and dolphins swim by our house on a few occasions as well! Thalia was a delight to work with – she even had a nice welcome gift of snacks, wine, and other helpful supplies waiting for us! She was very responsive, quick to do anything to accommodate and SO helpful pre-trip as well as during! One day, we wanted to make margaritas and the blender unfortunately wasn’t working – sure enough, she hand-delivered a brand new one an hour later! Do not miss this piece of paradise!

Beautiful View - Quiet Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rental property in Lagun, Curacao. Set in a peaceful location on the island's north side, the home provided a perfect retreat, far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the city for convenience.The house features two identical suites, each with comfortable king beds and full bathrooms, linked by a charming covered patio. The air conditioning was more than sufficient, keeping us cool despite the warm afternoon sun.A highlight of our stay was the plunge pool, complete with a beautiful palm tree in the center. The property is perched about 50 feet above the rocky shoreline, with a well-maintained stairway leading to a private ladder for easy access to the Caribbean waters. The views will provide many incredible photo opportunities.The kitchen was well-equipped for meal preparation, and we didn't miss having a washing machine or microwave. The public water in Curacao is excellent, eliminating the need for bottled water, and we enjoyed plenty of water pressure throughout our stay.Security was top-notch, with a remote-controlled electric gate ensuring our safety while we strolled to the nearby Bahia Resort restaurant without any concerns.Lastly, Thalia, our property manager, was incredibly responsive and welcoming, making our check-in process seamless.Overall, we highly recommend this property! Its blend of comfort, tranquility, and local charm made for an unforgettable vacation.

Most Excellent Stay In Lagun

The property is simply stunning, with a small pool and ocean access down a set of stairs from the villa. Large sliding glass doors allow the trade winds to blow through the structure, keeping it cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned, each with an ensuite bathroom.The cleanliness of the property is remarkable. Thalia, the property owner, is reachable anytime and very friendly and understanding.The ocean off the platform pictured is 20 feet deep and crystal clear.You do need to be aware that this villa is situated within the village of Laguna, so there will be some noise from neighbours, and the nearby church, but that did not detract from our holiday.If you're looking for hopping nightlife, probably best to look closer to Willemstad. This property is designed for relaxation and was just what the doctor ordered for us, who both have busy careers at home.I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Thalia.

Beautiful home and amazingly beautiful view

We have traveled and stayed at many places and this home was our absolute favorite. Close to many great snorkeling places and not too far from the airport and great restaurants. Special kudos to Thalia who made checking in and out. We loved it!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a great stay! Everything we needed and the AC in bedrooms was perfect. Great snorkeling right off the back swim platform along the wall. We also loved the area of this home and with a car we were able to see the entire island and explore on our own. We will def be back!

Wonderful property! Very nice location and a great vacation. Helpful property management! Curacao is a beautiful place to visit! Property is convenient to many beaches and several restaurants but not in the hustle and bustle of Willemstad.would definitely recommend.

AMAZING!!!!!

Just back from a simply fabulous two-week stay at Yemaya Villa!! There aren't words . . . Myself and two friends absolutely cannot say enough great things about it. Thalia is a WONDERFUL host. Incredibly nice and attentive. She has thought of EVERYTHING. All those little touches like the welcome tray, the toiletries in each of the bathrooms, even bedside chocolates! Plenty of towels, pool floats, sunscreen, cooler, the list is long. THANK YOU! The villa itself is the epitome of living outdoors. We kept everything open and when it was time to retire for the evening, we closed the doors and turned on the AC. (Mainly because the mosquitos seemed to like us. If not for that -- those doors would have remained open as well.) The villa is set up very well to do your own cooking. Nothing like dining al fresco overlooking the beautiful sea! Speaking of the sea, there is great snorkeling right from the house. We were fortunate enough to see an adult green eel fully out in the open! It was AMAZING! If that weren't enough, having morning coffee with the dolphins that swam by was a real treat as well! Keep your eyes open -- they are out there! The location of the villa was perfect for us. So many beautiful places to see, snorkel, hike and explore! Very easy to get to and we felt so safe and secure! Don't hesitate! BOOK IT! You won't regret it. Thank you again for hosting us, Thalia!

Gorgeous sunsets!

Four of spent two weeks at this property. We watched the beautiful sunsets every night from the outside patio and ate our dinners on the outside table. The beds were very comfortable and the room air conditioners worked very well and kept a nice sleeping temperature. Because we were doing all our own cooking and not going out for meals, we did find the kitchen a little lacking in a few things, serving bowls, blender, large frying pan and the barbecue was pretty small for four people. But, the kitchen was nice to work in with big open windows and a nice breeze blowing in while we cooked. It was very disappointing that the ladder to the ocean was damaged by waves on our first day there and it took a week to get fixed. I do understand that things take longer on an island, however, we were told that this had also happened two years ago, so we felt that there should have been a contingency plan in place. When renting an ocean front house for water access and then not having that access for half the vacation is a pretty big deal. We also felt that the property owners brushed it off, saying, well, it could be worse, and offered nothing in compensation, even if only a token thing. On the positive side, every time we texted the property manager, she responded immediately. And it was lovely once we had water access and could swim right at out front. There are many beautiful beaches nearby and we visited quite a few of them. The snorkeling was great.

Thalia was amazing to work with. Had everything ready upon our arrival. The house exceeded our expectations. We swam off the back deck. Amazing beaches and snorkeling minutes away. You will not regret anything about your stay except going home!

The Perfect Oceanfront Getaway

The property is luxurious and the view is spectacular! Thalia has really thought of everything from aftersun lotion, coffee pods to shampoo and sunscreen. The guest binder was most helpful. Recommendations for beaches and restaurants were appreciated. Our family loved exploring Curaçao. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing and even better in person than the awesome pictures. Stayed here for 5 days and the house, the view, the ocean breeze, and the ability to jump right into the sea from the dock or into the pool is incredible. And Thalia is the best host I have ever interacted with, super fast with responses and takes care of everything and answers all questions. We had a perfect time!

Jump right in to Yemaya Villa

Overall, we had a great stay at Yemaya Villa. The villa and setting were beautiful. The villa was clean and well decorated. Thalia provided a wonderful welcome basket along with other treats and amenities. We got to watch a pod of dolphins swim by from our patio and rainbows several mornings. The villa has two nearly identical bedrooms with on-suites, making it perfect for two couples. The white “greek isle like” steps down to the water were unique and the ability to jump into the blue water below was amazing. The location was convenient to two of the most picturesque beaches, Grot and Klein Knip. A small beach with a restaurant overlooking a beautiful cove is a short walk from the villa. We prefer to stay away from the cruise ship ports, so this location was perfect. If you want to be closer to restaurants and shops, you should stay in Willemstad. While the villa was elegant and aesthetically appealing , it is open-air and has a sort of a “one with nature” pagoda-like roof with open vents that birds can fly through in and out of the home. There are open vented windows without screens throughout the main living area which means pesky flies when you cook and mosquitoes in the evening. This may be a small price to pay for such a wonderful location, but it is good to know what to expect. The bedrooms are air conditioned so no concerns there. Thalia, our host was responsive, prompt, easy to work with, and accommodating. She epitomizes the definition of a Super Host.

Amazing Villa

The villa is definitely a gem in Curacao! If you see availability, just book it. You will love it. The white color and style of the villa make it a little Greece in Caribbean, very instagram. The villa has direct access to the ocean. We had a lot of fun by jumping into the ocean from the lower platform. We also snorkeled quite a bit, water is so clear, color is like postcard . The view is spectacular as well. Have to give big applauses to the architect of the Villa, the villa is designed so creative and thoughtful, making it not only beautiful, also very practical, comfortable. Thalia is a pleasant person to communicate with. Very responsive, helpful and professional. the villa shows her personality as well, elegant, pleasant, with great attention to details.

Hidden gem

OMG this place is beautiful with private diving platform outstanding view and good vibes about 30 miles from downtown. 5 min walk to a nice beach and restaurant with good food, coffee, margaritas and friendly iguanas ( one time counted 8). Host is very nice and responds to your needs quickly. You want to get away, relax and revive this is your place 🏝
